Nature Camp 5 acres: prairie, forest, fenced agility yard, Elgin

A very securely fenced and lovely private area to train your dog or just let him or her run and be silly and play. There are often chickens and horses just on the other side of an adjacent fence which many dogs find interesting, but is not included in the accessible play area. A large portion of all funds raised is donated to a Senior Dog Sanctuary. Adults only with dogs unless other arrangements have been made with the property owner. (Owner reserves the right to cancel guests if rental area is too wet or muddy from recent rains in order to preserve the flora.)

Lazy Bones Acres offers 5 acres of wooded hiking trails for you and your furry companion to enjoy. Pack a lunch to enjoy on one of our picnic tables along the way or simply take in the peacefulness of the forest and wildlife. Listen to the squirrels chase each other in the tree tops, the woodpeckers pecking away in a nearby tree, or the geese honking at a nearby pond. Wildlife that are commonly seen on visits include deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, chipmunks, a beautiful array of wild birds, and much more. *Our terrain is uneven as it goes through woods. If you have trouble with balance or walking, please reconsider your visit to our property for your safety. Trails are kept clear, but raspberry and blackberry bushes present thorns, please use caution with these prickers. ** Our spot is fully fenced, however if your dog is not command trained we do not recommend letting them off leash. Dogs have a natural instinct to chase the rabbits and squirrels we have.

Our favorite times of year to see our Newfie play outside are winter (he loves to catch snowballs, chase our kids and then lay in the cold snow)…and the summer when he lays in the cool grass and plops himself down in the kiddie pool. We at FYDOLAND understand that there are some dogs that do not do well with other dogs or people. Therefore, we offer a private training/ enrichment room and equipment, approximate 2000 ft² where families can play with their dog in a safe, clean environment. Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!

This fully fenced in 0.25 acre yard is attached to our Dog Training studio in Hoffman Estates. It is available for use when we're closed. It is only available after 6:00pm Mon-Fri, and is available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. You and your dog(s) will be the only ones on property during your reservation.

Hi. I have recently retired, and now I pet babysit full time at my home. I am insured and bonded for pet sitting and pet boarding. I also allow dogs to run in the 3/4 acre fully fenced back yard. Book your appointment now! I have new dog agility items that aren’t in the pictures yet, and we are just starting the business in this new Lisle location.
