The owner, Lori, met us at the gate and introduced the sniff spot to us. Very friendly and accommodating ( water bowl and bottles available + milk bone treats and sticks). Property is huge and fenced. Hosts informed us that they have horses in the back portion of the property. They are planning to put up a horse corral. The trails on the property connects the front to the back portion so we took a peak at it and saw the horses but kept our dog on a long leash because we are still getting her used to wildlife and farm animals. We hope to explore more of the property next time! Overall our pup really enjoyed her time there !
Lori, the host, met me at the gate. We parked and talked for a few minutes and she discussed the property. I was the first visitor and her and her husband were finishing walking the primary part of the property and fixing the tops of the fences (I was aware of this and they weren’t able to do so earlier in the morning due to rain) where deer have beaten it down. But fencing was secure overall. Horse poop is around which provided a disgusting but tasty treat for my dog to eat and roll around in. She advised there’s some trail area in the woods that they hadn’t really checked the fencing on yet and recommended leashing there. We walked through the trails and ended up where the horses are. The horses were very interested in my pup and followed us back through the trails back to the primary pasture (I do not personally like horses so I was not a fan). The horses were nice I am just scared of them lol. Lori said the next time she would put them in a corral at my request! My hour was almost coming to an end anyway so I just chatted with Lori and her husband for a bit. Lori also provided a dog bowl and water for pup and humans, milkbones, sticks and toys if my dog were interested. Other animals are visible but generally keep their distance! Lori also told me she plans to put in some kiddie pools for dogs as the weather warms up more. Overall fun experience! Will be back again very soon.
