Location

Description

We have three acres of semi fenced field. The western fence is split rail and our 67lb German Shepherd is able to squeeze between the rails. The fencing on the south, east, and north sides are wire fencing. It keeps the neighbors dogs out and keeps our Shepherd on our property. There are golf balls in the field as we practice golf out there and we can't always clean every one of them up. Your dog would need to be able to be off leash and be able to be called back to you or you risk them running onto the road. The neighbors dogs to the south will come to the fence and bark but they can not get through. Our German Shepherd is extremely gentle and playful. You are welcome to meet her and let her play with your dogs but that will only be at your request. We will eventually place a picnic table and umbrella next to the parking area when the snow clears. We will also have a round table and chairs under the apple trees. We have chickens on the property but they will stay fenced in while dogs are using the property.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are some goat heads my dog steps on occasionally. The main road along the split rail fence is 35 mph but people are constantly doing 50+ on our road!

My dogs had a great time sniffing and exploring! Picnic table and water and watching the chickens were nice touches. One of the neighbor puppies slipped through their fence and came to check us out toward the end of our visit but stayed back at a comfortable distance and thankfully my sometimes dog reactive catahoula didn’t even raise an eyebrow, so it was fine (and I had him on a 30 ft drag line just in case for situations like this.) We will definitely be back! Great instructions and communication. Thank you for a great visit!

Fantastic spot for the dogs to run around and explore. There are some mounds of dirt towards the back of the property that my dogs loved running around. There was a paintball game happening on the property next door - my nervous dog did not have an issue with it, but it may be a problem for dogs with a lot of noise sensitivity. Jason was incredibly kind and helpful. There is a large gate at the entrance that you are able to close if you want some extra security. We will be back!

Host replied: Sorry about the paintballing next door. I need to have a conversation with that neighbor and at least see if he'd be willing to put up some kind of barrier between the properties. Glad you enjoyed the spot!

Great local spot to run around! Homeowners were friendly and stopped by to say hello! We will definitely be back!

Great property with lots of room for dogs to run around an explore! Mine enjoyed traversing the dirt mounds in particular, which was really fun to watch! We stayed away from the front area of the property, just because it has a split rail fence my dogs could go through. But overall that wasn't an issue, as there was plenty of space or my dogs to roam around and explore towards the back. I am thankful this spot is only 2 min from my house - I definitely plan to frequent it more often!

This place is awesome!! Really nice host, beautiful space with tons of room to run and play. My dogs were as happy as if it was their birthday, Christmas AND they won doggie lottery all on the same day. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you!!!!
