55Great space!
55Awesome experience! My rottie and golden retriever spent a solid hour exploring, sniffing, rolling around in the snow, and playing fetch. Plenty of land for them to roam. Toys, water, and chairs were provided, which was very much appreciated. Solid 10/10!
55Lots of space for dogs to run and explore! Very nice area!
55Great place for a romp on a cold snowy day. Cooped up herding dogs loved this spot.
55We had a great time! Lots of room to play and some light trails seem to have been worn in so it’s easier for me to walk around with the pups. The dogs love sniffing all through the grass!
45This spot was easy to find and lots of room for the dogs to stretch their legs. The property does have burrs if you have dogs with longer coats. It’s not fully enclosed at the entrance, which is fine for my crew being off leash trained. Overall, a nice spot for doggos 🐶🐶🐶
55Very large yard! We loved it so much🥰 thank you a million!
45nice little fenced area, but all of us (dogs and people) were covered with burrs that were really annoying to get out. Also didn’t see any of the amenities listed - no place to throw away dog waste bags, no seats, no dog toys. Also a car was blocking our ability to pull in further to the sniffspot area.
55Fun to explore. There are lots of places to explore and good smells. Not fully fenced gate didn't close but dogs with good recall would be fine. Just what we needed for the dogs to run off some energy. Some of field had tall grasses but my dogs love to bound through it. They had fun we will come back.
55Very fun place for a dog who likes to get the zoomies! Grass is very tall and play area is very rugged like a typical livestock enclosure. Fencing is def not secure for small dogs but works fine for med-large dogs. Be aware there are two entrance/exit openings that cannot be closed.

Location

Farmington, Minnesota

Description

The property is under 5 acres in a residential rural community. There is lots of unfenced yard as well as a mostly fenced pasture (electric fence is NOT on). Would work best for dogs that need to run or play that listen to their owner and are not likely to run off as the fencing was designed to keep livestock in the pasture, not dogs.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Welcome from the Oak Ridge Standard Poodles and their humans! We invite you to stop by and visit! The yard is fully enclosed with a 6 foot bamboo privacy fence and there is plenty of room to run and play. You'll have full access to a yard level deck, two patios, and a fire pit. There are chairs and tables in various spots year round. When the weather allows, there are additional items including a sectional couch, dog cots, and hammocks as well as lawn games and a speaker/radio upon request. During your visit, you'll have access to a freshly filled gravity water bowl, dog treats, a few toys, towels, wipes, and more! There will be regular sized poop bags as well as larger plastic bags for any cleanup needs you may have. We also provide bottled water for the humans as well as sanitizer if needed. The resident dogs cannot see you from anywhere in the yard, even if your pups wander to the top of the stairs. You may hear neighborhood children at the nearby park. One of our next door neighbors has dogs that could be outside in their fenced yard and may see you upon arrival. However, once you are inside the sniff spot, those dogs will not be able to see you. Guest Wi-Fi: Network-sniffspot Password-sniffspot Parking/Security- We strongly prefer that you pull into the driveway and park on the left side close to the house/garage. Once parked, this area is not visible to our dogs from inside the home, which means they are less likely to bark hello greetings. 🐩 It also means the curious/friendly/inquisitive neighbors will not approach you. Gated access to the sniff spot is on the left side of our home just a few feet from the designated/recommended parking area. The gate is secured with a lock that is opened with a code. You may wish to unlock the gate first and then get your pup out of the vehicle. Security cameras monitor all outdoor spaces. We look forward to your visit and welcome any recommendations in order to make the Oak Ridge Sniff Spot your go-to destination! 🐩
