Description

PLEASE READ THIS AND ALL INFORMATION FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE: Located on a private 244-acre farm, this fully fenced 1/4th acre spot allows your dog to get their zoomies out! Located around 150 feet from our home, this spot is private enough for most reactive dogs and gives you a sense of privacy. I have a web page that will contain updated information that is easy to navigate. https://forpetsllc.com/sniffspot-1 Your dog will enjoy the dog playground with tires for climbing, agility equipment, a ball pit, a wading pool (in warmer weather- taken down October 1st), a tug pole, jolly balls, and other toys. There are groups of rocks, where the grass has been left long, for both the sending and receiving of doggy peemail. There are two chairs for the humans and plans are in the works for shade. Next, snap on your dog's leash and take a walk on Sniffari Way; a mowed path around the border of our 11 acres of hay fields. This relaxing walk provides a sensory Nirvana for your dog, while allowing you to get in a little activity for yourself. You can choose to walk the whole route, which goes by the house, or take the shortcut back to the parking area. We are a working farm and ask that you please let us know if your dog is human-reactive before booking, so we can suggest the best times to visit. The fire hydrant is for poop and small trash. Step on the round pedal to open (no need to use your hands). Finally, if you see an issue- PLEASE message me to address it. We look forward to seeing all of the pictures of your adventures here!

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

No small dogs (under 25lbs) until I am sure we have found and filled all of the gaps under the fence from uneven ground. Rocks in tall grass spots, possibly wild rose bushes with thorns popping up in non-mowed areas, wild mushrooms, wild roses growing against the fence on the woods side, ticks, thistle, hawks, and eagles. On your Sniffari walk you might encounter: Wild mushrooms, burs, thistle, ticks, bees, wasps, caterpillars, frogs, skunks, porcupines, bears, deer, coyotes, hawks, eagles, bobcats, old barbed wire, uneven ground, vines on the ground, rocks sticking up, roots, all the normal hazards that you would find in nature. Bald eagles and hawks hunt here, small dogs could be at risk, so do not leave them unattended. ELECTRIC FENCING around horse pasture.

Gus and I had a great time! He enjoyed the agility equipment and the fields!

This was a pleasant first experience at this sniff spot! The host is very kind and responsive to the questions I had regarding the fence. We have three fur babies that vary in size and age so like to make sure the fencing is suitable for 8 pounds all the way to 85 pounds! This spot had tons of fun agility course activities and a fun ball pit that my 4 month old black lab loved 🥰 Will certainly return! Thanks again! Great experience!

    Great spot!

This was the first sniff spot we've taken my dog Piper to and it was perfect! We did the sniffari walk around the fields and even got to see the horses grazing which was an added bonus. Can confirm that there were many smells to sniff and our pup had a ball. We spent the second half of our visit in the fenced play area which was plenty big for our pup to have a good romp and game of fetch. It was awesome to get her energy out and she even got a hang of climbing the tires which was so fun for her and us. Highly recommend this for a fun afternoon.

Great place for my old girl to free sniff!

Host replied: I am happy she enjoyed it!

This was our first SniffSpot so we didn't really know what to expect. The fenced area was very secure, and the toys and agility items were very clean. We were unable to walk the property as our 4 month old puppy had so much fun sniffing, exploring, and playing he was too tired! We all had a blast and would definitely come to this location again.

Host replied: I am happy your pup had fun!

Great place, 10 out of 10 would recommend again.

    Host replied: Thank you!

Great for high energy dogs! Lots of new smells and sounds to discover.

Host replied: I am happy you all enjoyed it!

  • Sarah R., Oct 8, 2023

I walked part of the field trails, which provided amble smells! The fenced in part was a great size. My dog loved the equipment.

Host replied: I'm glad your dog had fun!

My two young dogs had a blast!! One of them is a super nervous/timid dog who is even spooked by the wind and she had so much fun! The agility equipment was a huge plus, plenty of space for them to run and very clean. Perfect set up for a secluded spot for my reactive dog who was enjoying the spot. Will definitely be coming back!! 😊

Host replied: I am so glad your pups enjoyed it!

We believe dogs are family so we have worked hard to create a customized experience for your human and furry family that you will remember forever. We offer two separate fenced-in areas that connect. Are you looking to expose/introduce two dogs to each other in a safe and welcoming environment where you can monitor their body language and temperament? If yes, then our space is perfect. Each dog can have their own fenced-in area to play and observe or open the gate and connect the two spaces for your dogs to explore all that we have to offer. Included with other amenities, we offer confidence building equipment, a digging station, stretching station, pools for water (seasonal) and sensory play, enrichment toys, natural fitness stations and more! Have a special request or need? Let us know. We are happy to accommodate if we are able! Clean water bowls are also offered as well as a sink to easily refill and wash your hands or a toy as needed (seasonal). When done playing with the toys, simply leave them in the bucket provided for cleaning and sanitation for the next furry friend. On the back side of the house is a hose and sprayer as well as dry towels inside the bench (seasonal). Feel free to dry your dog off after splashing in the pool and wipe their feet before they hop back in your car. Simply leave the used towel on the bench and we will pick up. Waste pick up is simple and easy with the pooper scoopers and rakes we offer for disposing in our Doggie Dooley Septic Systems (seasonal). We can't wait to welcome you to our Golden Dog Playground - an oasis set among the woods with distance from the road and neighbors.

Loony's Rainy-Day Get-Away Sniff-SPoT!

I made this Sniff Spot realizing the demand for an indoor space for dogs to play on rainy days and the long winter months! The space is in our indoor basement and personally with my own dog I always take her down there to play when the weather is poor, rainy, cold, or later in the evening when it gets too dark outside but the pup still wants to play~! Seeing how much my own dog Soluna, aka "Loony" enjoys it, Im now opening up "Loony's Rainy Day Getaway" to other local pups who need a warm, dry and cozy place to play. This is a GREAT spot for the upcoming long winter months! The space is a good size basement, (unfinished but heated and well insulated) We keep a handful of our own dog toys down there to share and pup-parents are free to also bring their own carry in and carry out. There are chairs for people to sit and watch their pups play There is also a water line that can be used to fill water bowls. *This is an indoor park so please potty your dogs outside before coming in. There is also pretty easy access back up to outside if they need to go in the middle of playing you can bring them back out to relieve themselves and then return. *Dogs with aggression/reactivity may book Loony's Sniff-Spot to play separately on their own for a dry place to run around with toys and their human, etc but please let me know so we dont book multiple dogs at that time and so I can keep my own dog away as well* *We do still use our basement area for storage in some areas so we ask that you and your dogs respect the storage items on shelves etc. Do not touch and call your dog away if THEY go to touch. (For their own safety as well)
