15The size of the yard is decent. There are, however, some hazards. Wire garden fencing laying on the ground near the fence with the sharp ends pointing out, nails sticking out of wood posts that are only about 6 inches from the ground, 2 wooden storage sheds that can be gotten into by the dogs, one had a tarp partially covering the entrance except for about 2 feet from the ground was open and a gas can was sitting there. There were a couple of small pieces of glass in the dirt on the side of the house, a metal poll/ curtain rod with pointed ends sticking out of the fireplace, that my dog ran into, things like that. The train tracks are right behind the yard and that scared my more nervous dog. I wasn't sure where to put the poop bags so I ended up taking them with me. If the hazards got taken care of and there were clearer instructions we would probably return because it is close by for us.

Additional rules

*please message me if you have special requests that don't meet the posted guidelines. Like if you and a friend want to come together and have more than the aloud amount of dogs, I do make exceptions!! *when arriving, park on street *Use the gate on North side of house. when facing house, gate on the right side. Be sure to pull it shut so it latches when you go in and when you leave. *large trash near entrance (on the inside) can be used to deposit your poo bags, thank you for cleaning up after your dog. (still keep an eye out if you're walking back there, some may have been missed. *Backyard is by train tracks. I am not sure their schedule. I'm just so used to them. *Yard has leaves and some tumble weeds right now, I'll update yard status as necessary. *Two sheds out back, one is made of tarp. the tarp has worn out on the bottom. It's safe for dogs to go in there, there's a couch to sit on too. The 2nd shed, my door needs to be rehung. if you know a handyman that can help me with that.. or if you want to do it in exchange for yard space, that works for me. *I'll make improvements as we go. I look forward to sharing my yard with you. *open to suggestions by text message. *if you can't leave a 5 star review, please message me with concerns. If you have questions or need anything. I work from home and am typically here and can address anything immediately. *weather permitting I'll have the hose to be used a small kiddie pool to use as well. *There will be a bucket of water outside for your thirsty doggie. If you need more, let me know I'll get you water from inside if hose isn't turned on yet.

Host replied: Sorry it's taken so long for me to reply. Since this was my VERY FIRST visit and I spent some time doing yard clean up before you arrived. I see my to do list got longer. I was really excited to start this and share my backyard with dog lovers. I had just set up my account and was preparing everything when you were texting me asking me for more pictures and your eagerness to check out my space. I think I'll make a suggestion to sniffspot that we have the opportunity to set up our accounts and not publish them until everything (pics are all posted, special instructions are posted, etc. ) is ready to go live. But, that's in the past. I have two sheds. One shed is made of tarps. the entrance has worn & my dogs can get in, there's a couch in there to sit on and other outdoor storage type items. the gas can has been moved. The other shed, the door fell off during the winter, I have someone coming to fix it for me, the sides where there's opening is blocked with a brick. The other side has a large planter. a cat or squirrel could probably slither in there, but, not a big dog. The 'poker' by the fire pit is a fire pit stick/wood poker. left by the fire pit for easy find and use. I've moved that. I have a small white wire "picket" fence that was tipped over, that has been stuck into the ground. My apologies I did not specify that you could use the trash can that I placed by the gate you came in, to be used for poo. I wish you would have just texted me. I was right inside the house and looked out at you & Carmel looked like she was enjoying herself exploring!! I was right there and could have been outside in a flash to discuss your concerns and made corrections while you were there. Peace.
