55The best EVER. Amazing communication, beautiful property. They also have such a nice path, signs, and I especially liked they have seats around the path- it helps for anyone who needs breaks through the walk. Will be reserving again
55Was a great spot to take my pup and let him run. There were doggy bags and trash cans in several locations, and a chest with toys to play with as well. If you drop the address in Apple Maps, it will stop you about 100 yards from the entrance, so just keep driving and it’s very noticeable when you see it.
55 We had the BEST time here! This was our very first SniffSpot visit since becoming members, and we were so impressed. All six of our dogs absolutely loved it — they played in the water so much and ran around at full energy until they were happily exhausted. The only downside was on us: traffic on the way out made us 50 minutes late. The address provided was easy to find, and having trash bins on-site was super convenient. The weather was perfect today too. We'd love for more members to come enjoy this spot — hope everyone has as happy a day as we did! 🐾

55Murray and I had the best time here for our very first Sniffspot visit! The 20-acre property is lovely, with nature trails, a huge pond, and access to Back Creek. Murray loves swimming, sniffing, and running, so this was pretty much his idea of paradise! I appreciated the places to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, along with the convenient spots to dispose of poop bags. Such a wonderful place to explore together and let Murray enjoy being a dog. We would love to come back!

Description

Bring your fur babies to this beautiful private wildlife preserve in Gerrardstown. Our private property features nature trails that lead to a 7 acre pond and private access to Back Creek. Your pups can take a swim in the pond or splash around in the beautiful crystal clear creek on the backside of the property. There are otters in the pond so be watchful that your fur babies don’t have a negative interaction with the wildlife. We only host one booking at a time so the full 20.56 acres will be yours for the time you reserve. Additionally this property has three main areas. At the base of the driveway, you will find a forested area with clearing to sit in the shade and let your pups play with the available dog toys or explore. Make your way to the back of that first main area to begin your first nature trail which leads you straight to the beautiful 7 acre pond where more seating is available. From the pond there’s another winding trail that takes you through the backside of the forest and then opens up on Back Creek. Parking: You can park at the top of the driveway, on the side of the road, or you can bring your vehicle down the driveway. For small cars it is recommended To park at the top of the driveway due to unlevel terrain. Before you leave the property: please clean up all of your dog waste and dispose of in the waste bins along with any trash. And please place the dog toys back in the bin. We look forward to hosting you and your family!! The address provided takes you to an older driveway. Directions to the current driveway will be provided upon your reservation.

Pick up dog waste and trash and dispose of in dog waste bins and trash bins. No fires of any kind. No hunting of any kind. The property is a wildlife preserve on the pond side. Fishing is allowed.

Come enjoy our active dog yard! Long enough to get in a good game of fetch or frisbee! We also have agility jumps and a secured straight tunnel to play with. The yard is relatively flat and grassed with a beautiful oak tree that provides plenty of shade in the summer. Fence is 6’ privacy fence and there is a double gate entrance for security. Our own pack of dogs will be inside during sniffspot reservations. You will probably hear occasional barking. Our dogs play flyball and dock diving and we are always happy to introduce newcomers to dog sports too!

There are a few short trails around the property. I don't have a lot of restrictions as I probably will be at the house when you are there. I only ask that visitors do not allow animals on house property such as porches and wood walkways. We are approachable if you see us outside and encourage it. Our beloved GSD 'Samantha' passed a year ago and we miss seeing her running through the fields. Deer on property daily but they will avoid you generally with canines. If your pet has an unhinged prey drive I'd probably bag it since I border several acres of wooded property with zero containment. Thick, unmanaged forest!
