Welcome to our little spot of country close to the hubbub of the city. We have around 10 acres of land fenced for horses, 3 board fencing. They are our natural lawn mowers so there may be horse poop depending on season.

Let your dog rule the realm. Race across the huge open lawn that’s perfect for zoomies, epic games of fetch, or simply stretching out in the sun. Slip into the magical microforest where shaded trails and natural sniffs await the curious explorer. Two picnic tables give humans their own perfect perches: one tucked privately in the forest, the other right in the heart of the sunny backyard so you never miss the action. Meander along the old miniature train track paths — right now they’re a winter wonderland under a blanket of snow, but come spring and summer they’ll be groomed into charming walking loops that add a touch of whimsy to every visit. The firepit is currently closed for its royal renovation and will return bigger, better, and ready for cozy evenings this spring. You’ll find everything taken care of: dedicated off-street parking in our private driveway, complimentary poop bags, garbage cans, and a tote stocked with extra toys and balls for your dog to claim as their own while they’re here. We’re brand-new hosts who are absolutely thrilled to open our gates. Over the next few months we’ll be adding agility equipment, and by summer you’ll have a proper digging pit, the refurbished firepit, and (fingers crossed for hot days) a kiddie pool for cooling off. We want Barkingham Palace to be the best private dog space in the area, and we can’t do it without you. A suggestion and comment box is waiting on-site — tell us what your dog loved, what they want next, and we’ll make it happen. Your dogs deserve the royal treatment, and we’re here to deliver it.

Fully Fenced Yard & Deck

Please feel free to use our deck area while your furry friend is sniffin’ around :) We have two dogs, a cane corso-great dane mix and a terrier mix. They’ll both be inside during your visit and cannot get outside. The terrier might be watching at the patio glass door but is friendly! The terrier is also a puppy and likes to dig holes in the yard - she is not allowed but persists! Please don’t let your dog to dig in these holes. There’s a water bowl outside we can fill up with tap water before your arrival. Lastly, the neighbourhood is very quiet and the yard gets lots of sun. There’s street parking available. Enjoy! IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD We have MARKED TRAILS on our family farm for owners and dogs to enjoy. Just follow the blue markers. There are forest trails and trails around our hay fields. **Please note **Our residential areas are off limits, please stick to the trails and blue markers. Please do not enter any of the buildings on our property. When you come up the driveway veer to the right, there is a marked parking spot for you and your pup. Fall, winter and early spring are great months for ball chasers as we have big open fields. Mid spring and summer we have hay growing and ask you and your pups to follow the trails around the hay fields. There are a couple of cows on the neighboring property, this is only for a very small portion on one of the fields.

Burlington Humane Society's Fully Fenced Dog Park

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter.
