55We have a reactive dog who struggles with dogs he doesnt know and barrier reactivity. This was our first ever sniffspot and Sarah was so wonderful. I emailed her early to ask if there was dogs that would be around as we were not going to be able to come. She let me know that she will accommodate us and habe the resident dogs head inside during our reservation. You dont know how much that meant to us. Our dog doesnt get really any time off the leash.. He was in heaven. It was so perfect and he was so relaxed and happy to be out there sniffing away. His sister has a short snout and running a lot tires her out QUICK. She was running farther than ever before. She got tired and out of breath so we had to cut our time short and get her to relax. We will want to come back. We truly had a great experience and so thankful to Sarah for being so accommodating and having such a great experience for even a reactive boy and his sister!! Thank you Sarah!!

55It’s always a blast to bring the dogs here! We love allowing our dogs the yard to roam and run free. They give you everything from water bowls, to a whole trunk full of toys and obstacles for the dogs!

Description

1.6 fully fenced private acres. Off-road parking on grass for 3-4 vehicles available, plus more along the side of the road. Sniffspot is accessed by a large chained gate with combination lock. Our 3 dogs are occasionally in an adjacent fenced area. Although we put up a visual barrier in that area, they may bark when you are nearby. NEW: Look for our SniffFind (small container like a geocache) while you are visiting! When you find it, sign the logbook and return it to its hiding spot. We have a number of fun features for dogs, including three BIG tires to run through or jump on top of (dogs only please!), four smaller tires to run through, a colorful A-frame, a wooden spool, and a fire hydrant just for fun. There is a concrete table and bench seating - bring your picnic lunch. Running water and dog bowls are available across the field from the entrance gate, along with a poop scoop and large trash can. Toys, bug spray, and poop bags are located inside the tool box seat near the entrance. We can also host dog birthday parties, gotcha day parties, or breed/litter get-togethers! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all.

Hazards

*Be aware of fire ants and wear closed-toe shoes* We treat for them regularly but piles are always cropping up. There are a couple of trees and a pile of dirt/brush at one end. The rest is flat and grassy. The grass may be short or somewhat long depending on the rain and mowing schedule. Excessive rain could potentially create muddy conditions.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.

Fence visible in photos of walk gate and water bowl. The pole barn is NOT included in the rental, only the yard. I have a water bowl & spigot available at walk gate, please use all you’d like. You & your pup are welcome to play with random toys laying around, enjoy but please leave them on site. I do live on the property and occasionally will need to come in or out of my barn, I will communicate with you as best I can. Please advise if you have a reactive dog.

My backyard is a quiet spot set at the back of a private road. You’ll hear more birds and squirrels than you will cars or traffic. One side of the yard neighbors a mostly empty lot and the other a wooded area with lots of tall pine trees. A water retention ditch and another fence separates the back of the yard from the neighborhood behind mine. In addition to various dog toys and sticks, there is a mound in the middle of the yard for the septic system. My foster dogs love running up and down the little hills! The fire pit can be used on cold days and there are two spots for accessing water - one of which can also be used for a quick bath or rinse before heading home. Please help keep the space clean and tidy by picking up all dog poop and disposing in the little, black trash can just outside the fence. There are recycling and garbage bins for any other items that need to be disposed of. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your time here with your pups!
