Large area 1.69 acres of land, not all grassy, during the summer it’s dried out, and there are some foxtails and burs. I also allow for dogs to dig, so please watch your step. But I’m right off the 805 adjacent to Bonita. Water, poop bags, tables, chairs, shade, and most importantly…secure and private. Can’t wait to see you!

The chain link fence on both sides allows views into neighbors’ yards, both of whom have small dogs and one of whom has kids. They are sometimes in their yards, very hard predict when, but it’s not every day or all the time. The back of the yard that borders the canyon is a wooden fence which you cannot see through. My yard is basically a big hill with a completely flat section at the bottom so your dog can run all of the place to sniff, run up and down the hill for a challenge, or just play fetch in the flat area for an easier time.  You will need to park at the bottom of the hill on a different street and walk up the path to access the back of the yardz It’s like a bonus mini hike through the canyon. Recommend wearing sneakers or walking shoes, not sandals as there are lots of plants along trail. I will send more detailed directions when you book. Please do not go to my house at the address listed. I will ensure my dogs are inside when sniff spots are booked but if they see your dogs out the window they will bark. I will leave out bowls of water and toys, and per your request can fill a kiddie pool with water for swimming at the top of the hill closest to my house. You will not have hose/water access otherwise. There is very little shade so please be conscious of that if your dog is sensitive to the heat on hotter days! Thanks and have a great time!

We live in a safe, quiet area and our yard is well lit at night - perfect for dog visitors later in the evening. Hi! My husband and I have a home on a third of acre on a small quiet cul-de-sac in the hills of La Mesa. The backyard is very large and is terraced, so it’s great for exercising dogs or sniffing around (lots of great smells). There are also many fruit trees you are welcome to (orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, and fig). We also have a pergola with 4 chairs and a fire pit. Lots of shade is provided by our pecan and jacaranda trees most of the year. The backyard ground is a mixture of brick pavers, gravel, and mulch. We have several hoses throughout the yard that you’re welcome to use as much as you want. There is an empty koi pond that can be used as a splash pool for dogs too with our hoses. We also have outdoor electrical outlets and strong WiFi if needed. It’s a hillside home so there are great views of Mt. Helix and even the ocean on clear days. It’s a wonderful quiet place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!
