45Very nice place, it is as described. Our dog does not have good recall so we kept him on a long leash for the majority of the visit as there are areas where fencing could be a concern.
45The host was responsive and welcoming. The place was very large with lots of logs to do agility. There was a beautiful old growth forest back of the property with quite low deer fence with some parts I see barbed wire. Dogs are required to have an excellent recall not to go over other side of fence. Mine has a great recall till they see deers. 40 mins into our scheduled time, we saw 2 men approaching the gate. I thought they were next clients who came in too early. We ended up left earlier. Then messaged the host about this situation. The reception is very low in this area. I didn’t realized the host left me a message during my stay that the fence guys were coming but not before. I preferred to be notified much more ahead of time. I believe the host is working on those fencing issue. Once the fencing issue is resolved, I would come back again. This has a good potential to be one of best spots for us. There is the German shepherd breeder next door. So you can hear multiple dogs singing constantly. My dogs were a bit concerned but they were able to move on. They were not visible at all.
25We were super excited to check out this spot, keeping in mind the reviews from others about fencing and neighbouring properties. Overall I would say it’s a good spot for the right dog. Our dogs are not typically bothered by barking, however there was a period of loud whining/howls that had one running toward the fence line for a moment, but he recalled away. Toward the back of the property the fencing is barbed wire, however it is quite low and there is probably 1.5-2ft gap between. There were a couple points where large branches had fallen on the wire as well. This wasn’t an issue for our dogs, but something to note. I know the listing says partially fenced, but the host description/bio says fully fenced. The reason for our 2 stars would be because at one point there was someone driving in a truck on the property. I had remembered seeing a note about the host meeting guests and so we assumed it was her (although her message this morning didn’t mention this) and leashed our dogs to say hello. When a man got out of the car (not greeting us, doing something else) we were a little surprised. One of our dogs doesn’t like men, and had we not noticed the vehicle (as we were at the farthest end of the property behind the trees) it wouldn’t have been great. Knowing that this can be a trigger for many reactive dogs using SniffSpot, I thought it was important to include. We didn’t receive any message about someone being on the property while we were there, so we actually left very shortly after, only staying about 30 minutes in total.
55Susan is lovely and so was the space. My dog was able to soak up all the sniffs! He was unbothered by the neighbour dogs barking but they did bark a lot if you have a dog that may be triggered by that. Will be back!
45Big mostly open area with a forested bit at the back. I can see why many dogs would enjoy it, lots to sniff and explore. Unfortunately our dog was very bothered by the barking dogs next door. Susan did give us fair warning that there was a high chance of dogs being heard and we decided to try it out anyways. Overall a good spot, good communication, just not the right place for our sensitive, dog-reactive dog.
45Our dogs had a great time exploring Susan's spot. The yard is a nice size for running and it was super clean!! The walking path is nice, and we enjoyed exploring a bit into the forest. We were surprised by the livestock (chickens and sheep) next door. They are very close to the fence, and one of our dogs was a bit fixated after noticing them. The barbed wire fence is a bit hard to see in the bush, so we had to be a cautious about how far our dogs moved ahead of us. There were multiple dogs in the neighbours yard barking fairly often, our dogs weren't bothered by it but some might be. Great spot for chasing a ball! Thanks so much!
45A nice space to visit. Susan was accommodating and welcoming, and helped me locate property boundaries during my visit. My dog enjoyed chasing her ball during our time there, and some new sniffs. Weren’t able to take advantage of the whole space off-leash today because of a downed/damaged fence with an adjacent farm with livestock, but once that’s fixed, this will be a fun place to explore more fully. Lots of barking from a neighboring property, but my generally reactive dog didn’t seem to mind. Thanks for sharing with us, Susan.
55Amazing as always! Such a great property and gracious host!
35The space is great! And the dogs had a great time! The listing does say that the fence is only partial, however when talking to the owner upon arrival she let us know that part of the fenced had been pushed over but was not easily accessible to the dogs. I was unaware that the neighbours had chickens and sheep, which are right beside an area of fence which had been pushed over. My dogs had no problem jumping over the pushed fence. Thank goodness the neighbours have a 6ft fence surrounding the chickens/sheep. It took about 10min (which felt like an eternity) for me to catch one of my dogs as she was obsessed with doing laps around the pen. Unfortunately I won’t be going back to that space unless the fence is fixed. Which is too bad because it is quite a nice area.
55Clean, spacious and as described! Livestock could be seen in the distance on the next property, and some barking dogs however it caused no impact to our visit as my dogs don't mind that, and we had a fantastic time!! Lovely spot and we will be back

Host replied: Hi Nikki. Thank you for your review. I sent a longer explanation to your private message, also. The next door neighbours are Fraser Commons Farm Cooperative. I had met with them last week regarding the fencing damages and they have assured me they will repair the fencing asap. I appreciate the understanding as we navigate this new site and look forward to hosting you in the future. Thank you also for the awesome dog pics. Much appreciated! 😊Susan Sniffspot Hostess
