25I was thrilled when a spot with a pool opened nearby and even supported it with a membership. Unfortunately, time has shown that it won’t work. Potential guests should be aware of some issues. First, here are some of the most prominent hazards to dogs: * Parking is on the street, sometimes up the street, with no sidewalk. When it's hot enough to use a pool, be cautious: It may also be hot enough to burn a dog's paws. * Cigarette butts are harmful if ingested but are frequently found beside the pool. * Storage areas containing toxic chemicals like gasoline and pesticides are left open at times, and there have been mysterious piles of chemical powders on the side of the pool. * Some of the landscaping plants are toxic to dogs when ingested. * Numerous tiles along the pool's edge are loose, creating a slipping hazard if dogs run around the edge or jump in. * The underwater steps leading into the pool are small and lack contrast. Dogs can’t see them and may struggle to navigate them. In addition, while the pool photographs well, don't get excited about the slide; it’s out of order. The biggest challenge is the host's unwillingness to learn how the Sniffspot platform works while also maintaining a hostile communication style. As a host with years of experience, I offered collegial support as well as regular private feedback about these issues to this spot's host. Suggestions for improvement are poorly received, and few improvements are made over time - even very easy ones like, "Keep storage areas closed." One time, a stranger approached and upset my anxious dog. I mentioned this to the host so that she could improve the situation for future bookings. Her response lacked empathy: She just offered to let us stay "4 minutes and 44 seconds" longer during our next booking because that's how early we left according to her camera record. The final straw was when the host became upset over my use of membership hours to pay for my dog’s friend to join us. This use is valid, but the host did not understand because of her unwillingness to spend time expanding her knowledge about the platform. First, she rudely messaged me about it. Then, she passive-aggressively complained about me in our online host community. I was enthusiastic about this spot and invested time and money into it and with the host, but these issues compounded with her increasingly hostile communications have made me feel uncomfortable coming here. I've canceled my membership and won't return.Gwen C.

Come bring your fur babies to swim with you in our private backyard swimming pool. Pool is 9 ft at the deepest point. If yours is like mine he loves to float on rafts with me that are provided in our backyard oasis.. We also will be adding some date night with a movie swim so look for details ❤️ Can’t wait to see you❤️ We allow one human per dog at your visit. If you wish to add additional humans please let me know. We want you to have a great time and enjoy the pool with your fur babies ❤️ We allow up to 2 dogs with 1 human per dog. Additional humans 5.00 each.
