So fun! The host was very kind and explained everything throughly. And beautiful views and trails.
Doggos had so much fun running up and down hills. Glad I checked reviews so I came prepared with my hiking shoes. The road down hill was literally so steep but manageable with hiking shoes. We will be back. Thank you again!
Great spot for my dog and I to practice his long lead hiking. The other reviews recommending hiking shoes are not joke. I wore trail runners and did find myself wishing for some ankle support on the way back down. We will be back (with appropriate footwear) ☺️
Not suitable for reactive dogs. Many little fragments of recently cut trails that go to nowhere on a steep hillside. My dog loved crashing through the brush looking for bunnies, so that part was good. The trail recommended for use is up against a fence with aggressive, barking dogs.
Host replied: It literally says “stay to the right of the fence my neighbor has a barking dog” in the directions. (Read them before you come)!!! Also the “recently cut trails are because you probably didn’t read the directions in the first place and went the wrong way onto a different persons property. I just hiked the trail 3 mins ago and it’s perfect.
Great spot, but do be prepared with at the very least hiking shoes! Was a little lost upon arrival as someone else (likely a resident) was parked in the sniffspot parking spot. But when I got that all sorted out, finding the bridge mentioned was really easy to spot (also had a sign). Will definitely try again, and come better prepared in the future! P.S. while not visible there are dogs barking in the distance, so do keep that in mind if that’s an issue with your pup.
Loved it! We’ll definitely be back!
Great spot as always
Awesome hiking trail! Definitely tired us all out, including our German shepherd who has TONS of energy. It was all very clean and there’s even a couple of tables to rest on.
Really great spot for hiking with views. Once you make it past the beginning portion it becomes a traditional looking trail and is very serene and quiet. The owner was there and was very welcoming and hospitable as well. Will return.
This truly is like having your own private Runyon Canyon. Definitely must wear hiking attire and shoes, and be able to hike a significant incline for quite a bit. The uphill hiking part continues all the way until you hit the fire road at the top.We were able to enjoy the space almost public-free despite it being mid-morning on a weekend. On our way back down we ran into a guy with two dogs who I assume lived in one of the neighboring houses, where there is a short trail that links up with her property and is a shortcut for them to get up to the fire road and another public hike. There was enough space so that I could get off the trail with my dog and allow them to pass. We enjoyed ourselves very much and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. Will definitely come back again!
