Guests park right off the driveway and follow a beautifully mowed walking path through the open west field. The path leads you past our front treehouse and takes you straight down into a gorgeous, thick woodland section. Inside the woods, your dog can explore a deep, rugged seasonal creek bed (which stays dry most of the year!) and a massive natural ravine, or just continue hiking the mowed path and let your dogs explore the tall prairie grass. This is a true country "Sniffari" experience where your dog can track wildlife scents in total privacy, completely away from city noise and other strange dogs. Fencing & Safety Disclosures: Fence Type: Partially Fenced (Perimeter is country barbed wire; the deep ravine serves as the back boundary). Livestock on Property: Yes. We have horses on site. However, they graze safely on an upper flat pasture behind the barn. They are separated from the dog trail by a steep natural ravine drop-off that the horses cannot cross. Dogs and horses will not have direct contact. Property Hazards: Steep ravine drop-offs, seasonal creek bed (can fill during heavy rains), thick timber, briars, and ticks. Our Custom House Rules: Stay on the Path / In the Woods: Guests must use the mowed path to access the woods. Do not approach the barns or upper horse pasture fences. Leash Requirements: Because the perimeter is country barbed wire and the ravine features steep drop-offs, dogs must have excellent voice recall to be off-leash. We highly recommend using a 30ft+ long-line training leash so your dog can explore safely! No Livestock Chasing: Dogs with a known history of aggressively barking at or chasing livestock are not permitted. If your dog spooks the horses, you will be asked to leave.
