Welcome to Wags & Wildflowers at The Hygge Homestead! We are delighted to welcome you and your pup pack to our little woodland sanctuary. You will have access to 3.5 acres of fully fenced private forest and trails, where dogs can run, explore, sniff, and embrace their wild side in a peaceful natural setting. Arrival & Parking Our gate will be open for your reservation window. Please pull down the driveway and park on the shaded pea-gravel area. To help protect the land, we kindly ask that guests do not drive on the grass, especially after rain. Exploring the Property After you close the gate, you are welcome to roam the dog park and enjoy the trails as if it were your own private nature preserve. Under the tree canopy, the forest trails often feel 10° cooler than the open field, a perfect escape for both pups and humans. Please note: • The property is a natural pine forest environment • Terrain may be uneven in areas • Tree roots, dips in the grass, and natural ground variation are present For this reason the trails may not be suitable for guests who require mobility aids or have difficulty navigating uneven terrain. Training Area At the end of the back trail you will find a wide open clearing, which many guests enjoy using for: • training sessions • recall practice • fetch games If your pup digs a happy hole, we simply ask that you please fill it back in before leaving. Our Homestead Animals The Hygge Homestead is also home to a small flock of ducks and chickens, along with rabbits. They are securely housed in cross-fenced areas separate from the Sniffspot play space, though you may occasionally see them from a distance. For everyone’s safety, please do not allow dogs near animal enclosures. Water & Guest Amenities Near the meadow gate by the screened in porch you will find: • Fresh water sink for drinking or rinsing paws • Dog bowls • Dog shampoo • Hand soap and sink • Dog toys • Waste bags and pooper scooper Please return all items to their place when finished so we can sanitize everything for the next guest. Waste Disposal We kindly ask that all dog waste be placed in the labeled white-lidded bin near the meadow gate so we can maintain eco-friendly disposal. Seating & Relaxation Guests are welcome to enjoy: • swings • hammocks • sitting areas throughout the property The only areas that remain private are: • the main house • sheds • fenced back patio Meeting the Hosts If you’d enjoy meeting us and learning more about the homestead, just send a message and we’re happy to say a quick hello.
