Description

We offer our 18 acres fenced in area. We specialize in reactive and fearful dogs. We understand the challenges of having a dog that is scared and how important is to have a place in which you can relax and enjoy him/her/them instead of being hypervigilant looking for triggers 24/7. And moreover, we want your dog(s) to have a place in which he/she/they can be happy and have fun instead of being constantly looking for triggers and feel stressed out. Here you will see no triggers (but a chicken or turkey here and there, which would probably add to the enrichment experience) We hope you can relax and enjoy playing with your dog and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. As extras, your dog(s) will still be able to smell different animals like deer, turkey, squirrels, snakes, frogs, and also play in our small agility area. You will not have to see any dogs while being here, no worries we have you cover. If you wish to bring a friend with his or her dogs, you can add them as an extra. *WET SEASON STARTS IN MARCH* *TICK SEASON GOES FROM MID APRIL TO END OF MAY* Thank you

This is a great space with tons of interest—the woods, the field, and the grassy play areas (all with very nice paths) made a really fun hour for our two big, energetic dogs. It’s early spring, so there are wet, muddy sections, but honestly that just added to the fun for the dogs! The fencing and gates were secure, and the host communicated with us about the mud and water beforehand, so we knew to wear boots and bring towels.

Don’t forget to bring towels. During the wet season The Farm can get a bit soggy. Our pup loved splashing through all the marsh. Also, keep an eye on your pup’s mouth. Our youngest found two dead field mice and was quite pleased with his “party gifts.” 🤭

A labs paradise! My lab is wet, dirty and beyond happy!!

Excellent, peaceful and quiet place. Will be a regular customer!

We went when it was raining and cold, unfortunately. Can’t predict the weather! But our girl still had a blast for the half hour she could stand to be out playing in it. She especially loves the pond. We can’t wait to be back in better weather! THANK YOU for providing a safe space for our timid rescue pup to play 🥰

We were not able to use the spot because it was completely flooded. Would have much preferred that the host let us know the land was not usable before our 30 minute trip. Also, there is an aggressive dog on site who host leaves outside during SniffSpot appointments. This was our second visit and both times there was non stop, aggressive barking. Very disappointing for both us and our pups!

This place is awesome! It was very flood tonight but the dogs didn't care and we all had muck boots on. The dogs loved it and so did we.

Fantastic place for my reactive dogs to explore safely!

My dog had a great time!!

The Farm was wonderful!!! Perfect spot for any pup to play, run and sniff. Our girl couldn’t believe her luck to run off leash here! Only downside was that the land owner’s dog was outside in their enclosure and barked non-stop, for our entire visit. This upset our dog and she struggled to ignore the other dog. She is afraid of other dogs so this did put a damper on the experience. Otherwise, a great Sniffspot!

Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

SPRING TRAILS! As the snow melts, you'll find some areas of the trail muddy and slippery. Typically there are no major puddles (though after heavy rains it could be possible), but mud boots are recommended! Springtime might not be the best if you have knee or back issues- I'd hate for anyone to slip and injure themselves. I highly recommend bringing towels to wipe your dogs feet off after your walk before heading back home. They're going to have LOTS of fun and if they're like my dogs, they'll have muddy paws! 🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.
