Great spot! Very quiet and peaceful. My dog loved sniffing all of the animal tracks and running along the trails. There are a couple of places that go right by the road—we didn’t have an issue and walked all of the trails including those areas, but they’re easy to avoid if you’re concerned. My dog found a coyote carcass in the middle of the property, so there’s definitely wildlife around! We didn’t run into any ATVs

This was my first time visiting a SniffSpot. It was wonderful. As other reviews have stated, there is a section of the atv paths that go near the road. But there are plenty of paths that don't go near the road too. I visited in the winter and didn't see another human or any animals. I did see plenty of deer tracks in the snow though. The majority of this SniffSpot is tree lined so my dogs naturally stayed within the boundary dispite there being no fence. I spent an hour here and there were plenty of paths to occupy that whole time without backtracking. I'll definitely be going back again.

George's 40 Acre Unfenced Dog Park is a vast, tranquil space allowing a long walk my Australian Cattle Dog, Medika. Her recall is relaxed at this point, whereby "COME" is a suggestion in her highly independent assessment rather than a command. We begin training soon to correct this, but for now and moving forward this is an optimal setting for multiple reasons. Foremost, Medika can run, explore, dig & ramble to her heart's content. The entire area is interconnected trails, with wide open fields, a pond, tall grass, forest, hills & valleys throughout: a physical workout for you & your pup. One trail parallels briefly with the public road, but all other trails lead well inside the interior. No ATVs were present during our visit. For me, it was a quiet, meditative ramble well worth the drive from downtown Albany. A second visit is already booked: its a place we'll enjoy throughout the year!

Great piece of land for the dogs to explore. Easy to find. Didn't see anyone on ATVs while we were there.

A great space, with lots of nice trails. We saw quite a few people out on ATVs as forewarned we would, but otherwise nice a quiet. The dogs had a blast.

This is a great spot for off leash training and field work. There is a pond for swimming and water retrieves. There are fields with low cover and some with higher cover. I really enjoyed my first visit and look forward to going back.

My pup had a great time running along the ATV trails and fields! We saw a few people in the parking lot when we got there and were leaving, but did not run into anyone on the trails.

Very accommodating. Dogs had a blast, beautiful scenery. ATV trails through property but it's so large we didn't see another soul. Great spot!

Huge fenced in area for my dogs to run! Directions were clear and finding the place was easy. If you have dogs that like to eat random stuff like mine do, I would recommend taking them out further in the pasture before taking them off leash. Mine enjoyed the sheep poop buffet near the front corner until I redirected them further out. This is normal behavior for dogs that people generally consider to be gross but it won't hurt them. The grass height ranged from ankle to waist high across the pasture. Both of my dogs, especially the smaller one (50 pound pitbull), went full gazelle mode bounding through the taller areas. They ran and played and wrestled and generally had a blast. Normally they get bored of a smaller fenced in area in about 15-20 minutes but here with the massive area to explore they played the whole hour with a couple brief rests. We will definitely be returning!

This is the greatest spot! Super secure, didn’t worry once about their safety, supplies as needed and somehow no ticks after 35 min of play! My dog especially loved the giant mud puddle (came prepared with towels!) if your dog is like mine, be ready to hit up the dog wash on the way home but it’s worth every quarter spent! Two very happy dogs. As a note to other dog owners, please clean up your poop. This field is very large but I promise you, a puppy will find your dog’s poop. Be considerate to Alana and her other guest, and prevent dog illnesses.

This was a really nice place to visit with our German Shepherd. We mostly stuck to the fenced in field which our dog loved giving a thorough sniff. Our thanks to Alanna and her husband!

Fantastic spot! Fenced in area was big enough to get zoomies out with a lot of new smells to keep her mind pre-occupied. We also loved the upper area through the woods and a great view! As host states, it is a working farm with livestock visibly present. It was not an issue with walking by the pasture with my girl on a lead!

Ruger and Indy had so much fun today at Alana's! They romped to their hearts' content and chased each other in the big fenced off area. There were some low swampy spots on this spring day - which the dogs LOVED rolling around in - so you might want to have a towel in the car. They got to splash around in the creek a little, beautiful clear running water - and then an hour was up and it was time to go! We will be back to explore the other fields. You could easily spend 2 hours and not notice how fast the time goes by. Very peaceful, beautiful, good for dogs and human too! Alana is a great host, with great communication and a whole bucket full of toys. :)

Alana's was a great place for curious dogs. Woods to investigate and water to splash in. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to let my 5 months old Koolie off lead because the spaces in the pasture gate, not the entrance gate, were big enough for him to slip through. However, when he is a bit older, and has a solid recall, we'll definitely be back.

Loved this spot again, the swimming and the trails are a blast for my dog. Fair warning, I’ve pulled 7 ticks off him so far, even being on two tick preventions, so be sure to check your dog and yourself!

There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Nassau area are 5 stars.
