Collective Spaces Dog Park In Nathalie

This is the site of a forming intentional community. We are making it livable one step at a time. We bought the land cleared and in the meantime, use our 200+ acres to host hip camp, make bike trails and kayak out in areas. Attractions: Enter into one of the main parking areas by the house or keep driving! 1/2 mile down the road is another parking area. Keep going on that road and you’ll see a barn. Then, if you eventually curve to the right as you go down hill you might be able to figure out how to get to the big stream. The stream is sandy creek and that leads to the Banister river, which leads to the Dan. In about the middle of that main stretch, there is a road to the left that will bring you to a pond. I take my foxhound dog here while we hike the trails and work on the land. I found her on the side of the highway and found the owner but he didn’t want her back. I was going through a hard time. I did not intend on getting a dog, let alone a former hunting dog with such active needs! She had a lot of issues to figure out. We are both independent creatures which in the beginning was a source of trouble but now is a source of understanding. This land has been a blessing in us finding our balance. I can’t take her most places and let her off leash because her breed habit is to wander. She needs exercise. She has a need to run. She is so happy when we come here. She knows it means freedom. If it wasn’t for places like this, I would have a very frustrated pup! This place has helped us love each other. I hope you can experience the same!

The play area for dogs is about 4 acres fully fenced in. There is a barn you can use in case there is rain or if you need some shade. The area is very private. The only company you may have are the horses in the adjacent pasture! ***I’ve recently opened up after dark hours, but that is only for people interested in stargazing. The pasture IS NOT well lit at night.

Our field is located at an active pet resort, so dogs may occasionally be seen or heard elsewhere on the property, but they will remain separate from your reserved space. For the safety of all pets on our property, dogs must be current on Rabies and Parvovirus vaccinations, and proof of vaccination is required before your visit. Welcome to my spot located on 20 Rus Dr. You may park in front of the house for shade, or in front of the workshop for direct access to the further pasture. You may use any of the pastures, just make sure you close the main ones after you. Other than that, I hope you and your pups have a great time.
