Description

Come enjoy a farm adventure with your pup! At Blooming Bus Farms, you’ll find trails, fields, and fresh country air. Since we share our land with alpacas and chickens, dogs must stay leashed during visits—but there’s still so much space and so many smells to explore.

HOST NOTE

We host farm stays for families interested in regenerative farming, so most likely you will see people (and their pets) out and about on the property!

Hi, I’m Melissa! I run Blooming Bus Farms, where we raise alpacas, grow flowers & veggies, and host unique farm stays & events. I love sharing our space with pups and their people—our property has wooded trails and wide open area with plenty of nature to explore, and a calm, welcoming vibe for your next doggy adventure.

Crystal's 3 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Mishawaka

For quite some time now, my husband has been restoring this land as a nature preserve, bringing back shortgrass and tallgrass prairie, along with a small pond and wetland area. It’s been a labor of love—years of removing invasive species and re-establishing native plants. The wildflowers and grasses are thriving, with peak blooms throughout June, July, and August. By September, many of the plants begin setting seed, which is still a beautiful and important part of the natural prairie cycle. The designated trail offers a tidy, easy walk through the nature area. If your dog chooses to roam off trail, they’re stepping into a more immersive slice of Midwest prairie. With that experience can come sticker plants, burrs, mud, uneven ground, and the occasional wet area. If you want to keep your pup clean and sticker-free, we recommend staying on the trail.… because nature! Thank you for allowing us to share this special place with you and for giving your dog a place to explore, enjoy nature, and stretch their legs. Plenty of open space to roam surrounded by a treeline. Also you can use the firepit and seating. There is a large grassy plot, then you can walk a trail on either side of the pond, then there is a large prairie spot in back of pond.
