Description

Welcome to our Sniffspot experience at 100 Acre Wood—a historic homestead and working cattle ranch! Our 50-acre doggy hiking trail weaves through the our Maple sugarbush and down to a meandering creek, offering a serene and stimulating off-leash experience for you and your furry friend. Enjoy the canopy of birdsong during the spring and early mornings throughout the year. After exploring the trails, visit The Farm Store to discover our homemade grass-fed beef snacks for dogs and take a leisurely stroll around the farm. Please remember to keep your dog on a leash when visiting the farm and around animals. We kindly ask that you pick up after yourselves to help maintain the beauty of the area.

Hazards

HOST NOTE

Dogs allowed to run off leash near farm animals present a danger to the dog and farm animals and is strictly forbidden. We adjoin a private hunting club so off trail excursions can be hazardish and are nor permitted. There is a shooting range although rarely used, it can be scary for some dogs who are not used to gun shot.

No entering fenced pastures where there are farm animals. No wandering off trail to private hunting and fishing club, obey private property signs indicating hunt club. Dogs must be in control and leashed when in the upper farm area by houses, barns and farm animals.

NOTE we have had a few recent issues with folks being sent to the wrong location while using Apple Maps. If you are having trouble locating us we suggest using Waze or Google Maps as an alternative. The driveway is well marked with Sniffspot signs. Fully fenced, lightly wooded yard, about an acre. Paths around perimeter and throughout. Barn with kennels in case you need to separate dogs or get in out of the weather. Plenty of shade. The property contains many boulders, tree stumps, logs and leaves for your dog to explore, and lots of room to run. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and watch your step. There may be roots, rocks, holes or the occasional poop hiding under the leaves. Several of our guests have seen deer on the path to the SniffSpot gate. We strongly recommend keeping your dogs leashed until you are safely inside the fenced area.

Hello, and welcome to my private doggie and parent play yard. There is a rain water catch barrel system in place(seasonal)There is a garbage bin, rake and shovel to clean up any droppings. I have offstreet parking for your convenience. Pull into the driveway where you will see a parking sign. The gate is to the left of the garage. you will see a sniff spot sign on the front lawn so you know you have found the spot. There’s an assortment of play toys, as well as an A-Frame agility ramp, hand sanitizer station and poop bags for your convenience. I’ve provided a table and chairs under a shelter for rest or relaxation. There’s a small trampoline and hoops (warm weather)set up. We have cold water upon request for $1 each in the extras section as well as doggie ice cream for $2.00 each, as well as many special gifts for your fur baby.
