The Dog Barn in Steele, Al

Welcome to The Dog Barn. We have both fenced and unfenced areas for dogs to play. There is a pond you can access and a self serve dog wash if you fur child gets stinky. There are 60 acres of trails and hills you can climb, but that part of the property is unfenced. You can sit and swing under the trees of enjoy our barn and a cold drink while your puppy plays. For handicap guest, the barn and porches are level to ground but covered with small gravel. The walking deck has no railing and shallow steps. There is a handicap accessible restroom available on the property across from the dog yard accessed by code in an unfenced area.

We have open range 54 acres. We do have a stream of fresh water for the dogs to come and relax. We are working on fencing in areas for pups to enjoy but currently are open range. The 54 acres are fenced in just at the property lines.

The backyard is approximately .25 acres and is securely enclosed chain-link fence. The yard is gently sloped with lots of open space, making it great for fetch, zoomies, training sessions, or simply letting your dog explore at their own pace. Guests have private use of the yard during their reservation. Off-street parking is available in the driveway, with convenient access to the backyard through the gate. Whether your dog needs a safe place to burn off some energy, practice off-leash skills, or just enjoy some peaceful outdoor time, we hope you enjoy your visit!

Cullman 2-Acre, Fully-Fenced Private Backyard with Pool

Beautiful backyard with 16’x36’ salt water pool. We have a comfortable outdoor couch with a large table, and six Adirondack chairs (two of them high top) available for your use. We hope you will enjoy our space, and our only requests are that you please treat the property as your own, and do not use the back porch or any air portion of the house, keeping to the backyard with pool. Dogs are welcome to swim in the pool. Please try to have them use the stairs, rather than jumping from the sides, to protect the pool liner. Thanks and have a great time!

10 Acre (almost entirely) Fenced Private Pasture off of 119

We live on 20 acres and once we close our driveway gate, it is 98% fenced. You would have access to the 10 acres of pasture we have that is technically fully fenced but has a couple of spots a super sneaky dog could slip through, so you need to stay nearby or keep an eye on them when they are off-leash. 90% of that area has chicken wire on the fence so they can't get out easily. The only portion that doesn't have chicken wire is up at the top where you enter. And a couple spots on corners where a dog super eager to get out probably could. Our dogs will be in our house during your scheduled time so there will not be other dogs. The neighbors have horses but they are on the other side of the fence- so just keep an eye that your dog doesn't someone wiggle through. We recommend staying on the mowed "paths". Our dogs run through the tall grass and try to hunt field mice and squirrels. We have seen snakes but thankfully have never had a dog bitten in the two years we have lived here. Give us a call if you see a venomous snake as we'd like to get rid of them. This spot is available between 9am-11:30am and 2pm-6:30. If you would like to request a time outside of those windows, let me know and we will see if it's possible. You start at the top of a hill and walk down so this would not be a good spot for someone with limited mobility.
