Welcome to The Wag & Woof on Wilson! Located on a quiet dead-end street, our private dog park offers just over a quarter acre of securely fenced field space for you and your pup to enjoy. The park features a double-gated entrance with secure access code entry, providing a safe and stress-free experience. Guests can relax under the sun shade on our bench seating or enjoy the table and chairs with umbrella while their dogs explore. Fresh water is available for dogs, along with toys for play and a fun fire hydrant feature. We’re continuously improving the space and look forward to adding agility equipment in the future to make visits even more enjoyable. Whether your dog needs room to run, train, play, or simply enjoy some off-leash time, The Wag & Woof on Wilson provides a clean, private, and peaceful setting for dogs and their people.

Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it with other wonderful dogs and their people. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. The property is fenced along the two “long sides” which encourages your dog to stay nearby but with lots of roaming space. The fence is NOT fully secure. Please see the section about fencing. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. We’re so happy to share this space with you and your pup! It’s meant to feel simple, calm, and restorative. 🐾 A Space That Gives Back This Sniffspot was created not just for dogs to enjoy, but to make a difference. Returning renters can use code TRAINYERDOG for a discount too 😉 To access the agility field: Please follow the driveway straight back past the detached garage on the right hand side. You can park on the road or in the grass along the fence line to the field. Please do NOT walk your dog in the unfenced area! Ensure your dog is securely leashed before exiting your car, and walk them directly into the field. Ensure the gate is secured behind you before letting your dog off leash! Please ensure they are safely secured again before exiting the field and returning to your car! *This spot is first and foremost an agility field! There is equipment setup as seen in the photos pretty much all the time. You do not need to be an agility whiz to rent- if you are looking for a quiet, safely enclosed space to let your dog have some off leash time, you are more than welcome here! But do note that it is not a wide open space meant for free running. If your dog has never done agility, do not force them onto any obstacle. Reward them for investigating things, but best not let them have a bad time or get hurt bailing off of a higher obstacle if they are at all unsure. Please do NOT change the height of any jumps unless you know how to do so CORRECTLY! Do not attempt to move or change the height of any tunnels, the teeter, weave poles, or larger obstacles. And please no humans (children included) on or inside of ANY of the obstacles! They are not meant to bear the weight of a human, and they are expensive to replace if damaged. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Tunnels from Clean Run. Keep your dogs leashed for safety when entering/exiting the agility field as the rest of the property is not fenced. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure you & your dog can run safely! Clean up after your dogs please! Stay safe, have fun, and happy sniffing 🐽

Enjoy the safety of a fully fenced in backyard on over 10,000 ft.² of grass! Enjoy use of another .50 acre of flat, open field for long leash training and recall. While you’re here, enjoy a hike in the Shenipsit State Forest just steps away from our property. Hike the Connecticut blue trail and take your pet(s) on a fun adventure. Hi! We are happy to share our yard with other dog owners in the area who are looking to give their dogs some responsible, safe, off-leash time. I know what it’s like to have a need for your dogs to be off leash, happily running free, but in a space without other, unknown dogs (or people)! Sometimes you’ve got a reactive pup, a dog who is in training, or just an elderly pup looking to gently romp. We are an animal loving family who wants your pup to have whatever they need to be happy and healthy and for you to enjoy their company. We’ve got a fully fenced in space for you to enjoy with your dog(s). One side of the space is our house exterior wall, two sides are 6 foot vinyl fencing with no visual distractions and one side is made up of 6 foot metal dog kennel panels which look out onto the rest of our family yard. There’s a hammock, and patio furniture that you are welcome to use. Sunscreen and bug spray provided as well. We also have a trash bin, pooper scooper, pick up bags, and hand sanitiser on hand to keep everything clean and tidy. Please feel free to be in touch with any questions you may have.
