55Beautiful well kept property, will definitely be returning. My dogs loved it!
55This place is heaven. Worth the 2 hour drive and plan on visiting monthly.
55Host was great with communication, super nice and made sure we felt comfortable upon arrival! There are farm dogs that she will make sure are put up unless you tell her your dog will be okay with it. We didnt mind them being out and they greeted us when we got out of the car. Sweet dogs! Upon entering the gates the horses walked right up to us to say hi and get some pets. The pond has nice clean water. There is a enclosed arena if you need that to let your dog off leash. And all the land surrounding is wide open, my dog loved playing fetch with no limits out there! The woods in the very back were easy to walk thru and fun to explore as well. All in all it was exactly what i was hoping for!! We will be back for sure
55Great experience . Very nice place with a pond , a huge place for the dogs to run . The dogs loved it . The horses were beautiful also .
55Absolutely amazing pond and farm!!! Dogs loved it. An amazing sunset
55The farm animals were so cute and very friendly! It was a welcoming environment and I can’t wait to go back!
55Romanoff and I had a wonderful time! Her first time playing in water & first time seeing farm animals! She did extremely wonderful and got to be off leash for a little. Definitely will be going back a couple of more times
55Amazing spot! Just be aware of fire ant hills near the parking area! Our dogs had a great time and we will definitely be back!
55Heather's place was absolutely wonderful! The pond water was nice and clean for swimming, and there was tons of running space! My dogs had an absolute blast!
55Had an opportunity to visit this sniffspot for the first time, we were traveling through the area, with my dog who needed a good run and a bit of sniffing to do. I messaged the host hoping that their land would be available on Easter Sunday, she quickly replied and I booked the appointment. We arrived with an RV pulled along the side of the roadway, walked towards their beautiful home was greeted by fenced in goats and donkeys! This gorgeous place has a fenced in area, or huge areas that allow ur pup to farm smells that will make ur fur baby content! My pup sleep for hours, I’m sure dreaming of her adventures at Heathers piece of paradise!

Hazards

This IS a working farm. If your dogs do not like other dogs, please remind me when you are on your way. I’ll do my best to have our farm dogs contained, but may need extra reminding. The dogs are Parkton Place are friendly. Puffy, the white American eskimo, comes on strong. Bear, the white Alaskan malamute, is friendly. Winnie, huskimo, is friendly. Cowboy, blue cattle dog. P.S. We have roaming cats, chickens, ducks, and other farm animals. If you are worried about your dog, keep him leashed. If we are available, we’ll help you navigate everything. Parkton Place is for many type of outings to include photo shoots, rv and other guests, etc. Although most people keep their distance, this is to let you know that other people may be on the property using it during your visit.

Reactive dog friendly spot in Salemburg

Kindly read this entire description! Welcome to our home! We live in rural Sampson County and would love to offer a spot for locals and travelers to come run and play with their pup! We have a pup who is dog reactive and understand the importance of being able to stop and know that we have a quiet spot to stretch and walk that is not a traditional, public dog park! This is our private, working residence so please keep that in mind. We are very flexible on amenities and if you need something, just ask. There are chickens on the property but they will be left in their coop if a booking is made. Please ensure your dog has good recall and that they do not terrorize the birds in their coop. We also have a resident barn cat that does not like dogs and he will defend himself so please make sure your pup gives him some distance. We have a large field surrounded by wooded area that your pup is free to roam and play off leash if they have good recall. If they do not have good recall please keep them on a leash. If you would like to set up agility equipment - be our guest! In the summer the field does have patches of wildflowers that can get several feet high. We do not spray or apply any chemicals to them. There may also be a large brush pile present as we are actively clearing invasive plant species but we will not be burning while you are here! We have a resident dog that is very old and not dog friendly so we will ensure he is safely in the house, however I cannot guarantee that a stray dog won’t pass through. That doesn’t happen often and you will likely have plenty of time to recall and get your pup, but this is the country and there are folks that allow their dogs to roam. We have a senior dog that we must protect his health and outside animals we must respect as well so if your dog appears ill or is menacing we reserve the right to kindly ask you to leave - thank you for understanding. Please DO NOT allow your dogs to go into the front of our property. Kindly keep them in the field behind our home and garage. There is a covered shed area you may use to get out of the sun but please be advised there is equipment and sharp stuff under there so use at your own risk! Remember this is the country so there may be snakes, rabbits, ticks, ants, and other types of wildlife. Please dress and prepare accordingly ☺️. Thanks
