45The property looks absolutely beautiful, and I was so excited to bring my service dog here to enjoy the pond, trails, and freedom to run and swim. Unfortunately, we never made it to the pond. The host did provide directions before our visit, including looking for the flagpole near the house, parking along the fence, entering through the gate, and continuing past the barn toward the pond. I genuinely tried to follow those instructions, but they weren’t detailed enough for me to navigate the property once I arrived. Parking was the first challenge. The host mentioned a dirt road, but I couldn’t identify one. I found the flagpole and Sniffspot signs, but parking alongside the fence appeared to leave my car too close to the two-lane road for comfort. I eventually pulled into the grassy area near the flagpole, essentially making my own parking space. I wasn’t comfortable driving farther onto unfamiliar grass without knowing where I was going or risking getting my car stuck. Once through the first gate, there’s a chicken coop and a fenced-in area with some toys and other items. At first, I thought this might actually be the Sniffspot area because it was enclosed. There’s a gate to the right that I couldn’t open and another straight ahead. I went through the gate straight ahead, which led toward the red barn. However, beyond that point, there were corrals, additional fencing, multiple gates, and several possible directions. I couldn’t tell which way I was supposed to go. The instructions said to continue past the barn, but that didn’t explain which gates to use or how to navigate the fenced areas beyond it. With the wooded surroundings and so many gates and fences, I was concerned about wandering farther into the property and not knowing how to find my way back. I’ll take ownership of the fact that I became overwhelmed and eventually gave up. I have severe PTSD, and after driving an hour and spending approximately half of my one-hour reservation trying to find the recreational area, the experience became more stressful than enjoyable. Cell reception was also poor, making communication difficult. The host eventually provided more detailed directions and her phone number. I contacted her directly and explained what had happened, but by that time I was already halfway home. She apologized and kindly offered to walk me through the property on a future visit. While I appreciated that gesture, I was disappointed that there wasn’t an offer to reschedule or arrange another opportunity to use the spot, knowing I had been unable to enjoy my reservation. I would have gladly returned on a different day when someone was available to show me where to park and how to reach the pond. Instead, I was left feeling as though the difficulty was simply my failure to follow directions, rather than recognizing that the instructions might not be clear enough for someone unfamiliar with the property. I understand that wasn’t necessarily the host’s intention, but that’s how the experience felt from my perspective. My biggest suggestion would be clearer, step-by-step arrival instructions explaining exactly where to park, how to identify the dirt road, which gates to go through, and precisely how to reach the pond. A few simple directional signs at the gates and along the route would make a tremendous difference, especially where cell service is limited. I can see from the photos and other reviews that this is a beautiful property with so much to offer. I was genuinely looking forward to a peaceful morning watching my girl swim, run, and explore, so leaving without ever finding the pond was incredibly disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. What seems obvious to someone familiar with the property isn’t necessarily obvious to a first-time visitor. A little more guidance, clearer signage, and an opportunity to make things right when a guest has an experience like this would go a long way.Nadina A.

We feel that God has blessed us with an amazing piece of property, and we want to share this with others. It is completely fenced, has a large pond, many walking trails, plus plenty of open areas for playing fetch. Our personal pets (horses, chickens, dogs, parrot, and a goat) will be contained for all visits, but your dogs will love all the new scents! Come and enjoy yourselves. You will not regret it. 🥰

This is a large open backyard on a private property. There's not a lot around other than grass and trees, but if you are looking for a nice place to let your dog relax, this is a good place for you. I wanted to offer dogs in my area that don't have yards a place to play, and it looked like the other options in this area had farm animals as well, this property rarely has other animals around. Every now and then my neighbors dog comes around to say hello, but it is extremely rare to the point where I've only seen him twice in the last year. There is a hose available for the dogs to have some water, with a covered back porch with chairs for the humans to sit if you tire your 2 legged friend out. If your dog needs a friendly human to hang out with, I'm usually available to play! Grocery bags available for clean up, but please bring your own toys if you're here to play. Also a great spot to train obedience with minimal distractions. I look forward to seeing you (and your human) soon!
