Linda was so kind and this place was extremely small dog friendly! She put water & tennis balls out. It had a normal gate lined with a smaller chicken coop type fencing. We requested she left her personal dogs inside, which she did of course! One of her dogs does bark a bit, but our dogs didnāt mind at all. Such a nice area to play fetch with our small dogs and good price/location. Thanks Linda!ļæ¼ļæ¼
Friendly host, good space for pups to run around. She provides balls & fresh water which was nice!
Everything was wonderful! Fully fenced and our GSDs were secure in the yard. Lots of fresh, cold water and plenty of toys for our girls to play with, lots of grass. Linda kept her dogs inside and even our reactive puppy was problem-free playing there!
Lindaās spot is great! We had a wonderful time. It had great atmosphere and Linda is a wonderful host very friendly! We will be back. Thank you
I and my collies really enjoyed our first SniffSpot visit! The yard is large with lots of trees, shade and grass. The dogs loved running. We had been staying at a hotel for a dog show, so getting to stretch their legs was great. It was easy to find, and driveway parking was nice. Linda was away with her dogs but everything was open. She left a bowl of water and a stack of balls for the dogs. She did have a tiny Yorkie I think was visiting ho barked a little. But I was surprised when he met us at the gate! I called and she said I could just let him back in the house. He went without trouble so no big deal. A young man in the house must have let him out, she said. Linda was very accommodating as I wasnāt sure about when I would get there. I only booked 30 minutes but she said we could stay as long as we wanted! So nice. We had fun! Thanks Linda.
My foster dog had a great time playing with Lindaās sweet dog, Scooby Doo. Linda has 3 dogs which she took inside the house when we arrived. After my dog got comfortable, I asked Linda if one of the dogs could come out to play. She thought Scooby Doo would be a good fit and he was. The dogs got a long great ā playing in bursts, then sharing the water bowl and resting together in a shady spot. When it was time to go, my dog refused to leave! She canāt wait for her next visit!
Within the first few minutes ofĀ arriving, the host's dogs got out throughĀ theĀ front door and aggressively pursued my dog. My dog tried to run away and ended up cornered forĀ aĀ moment before theĀ host was able to get a hold of her dogs. It was terrifying and heartbreaking to see my dog in that position, and would never want any other dog and owner to have to have the same experience or worse. There were no injuries in this encounter, but it is easy toĀ see ways this could have been a more dangerous and tragic outcome. We were lucky my dog is not also reactive/aggressive and that theĀ host was present and able to react quickly. I stayed in hopesĀ myĀ girl would recover and still be able to enjoy our time there, but she would not eat any treats, drink water, or play fetch with me. I regret my decision to stay and wish I had left sooner. She was even afraid toĀ come out of the car when we got home. I felt conflicted about whether to leave this review because it's clear that this situation was an accident. I am sure the host will be taking extra precautions to reduce the chance of something like this happening again, but I hope others can use this as a reminder that booking a Sniffspot where other dogs are present is not risk-free!Ā
Host replied: While I sympathize with Janine's position, please note that I recently rescued a puppy who is now 10 months old. I brought my dogs inside, with the doggy door and the kitchen door closed and I bolted the smart lock in my front door. While I was getting a treat for my dogs for being locked up, my puppy, ScoobyDoo, had to reach the smart lock switch, open it with his paws and reach up again to depress the door switch to open the door in the couple minutes I was in the pantry. This is, indeed, a first time I have experienced this puppy figure out this complex maneuver. My dogs went out to bark and chase Janines Pyranese, a large size puppy but they did not rush out to attack. I ran out immediately to pull them back as a responsible dog owner would and should. There's always another angle to a situation that must be shared and considered.
Lindaās yard was perfect for my dog. He absolutely loved running through the grass and having space to explore. We will definitely be back
This was our first visit to a Sniffspot and we loved the experience. More importantly our two dogs, Mila, a Malagasy Coton (3 yr) and Toby, a rescue Supermutt (1 yr) thoroughly enjoyed it. The property (relatively small [as are our dogs] compared to many Sniffpot sites) was perfect for our dogs. It has a delightful rustic setting that enabled both flat out running and lots of exploration for the dogs and comfortable seating choices for us. The added value for us was having the opportunity to chat with Linda who is not only dog loving, but has a background that includes being of service to the dog rescue community. The added value for our pups was the opportunity to run and play with one of her dogs. If a measure of success is happy and tired dogs at the end of Sniffspot outing. This outing was a success.
Host replied: Love your dog action photos! Please come back soon for more doggy playdates!
Linda was super hospitable and nice! The dogs had balls and fresh water and the fence was super secured! Just enough room to run around
