Wind Ridge Farm Field

Another great visit - this time with a friend. All dogs enjoyed chasing balls and sniffing the whole spot. Everyone was exhausted when we left.

Wow - what a relief to be in a spot where the dogs were free to roam without worrying about encountering other people/dogs, leash laws, goose poop… we all had an excellent hour of chilling out letting the dogs just be dogs.

We spent a perfect hour here this afternoon! Lovely welcoming hosts, Clean, fully fenced giant space for the dogs. I’m for sure getting a sniff pass !!

This is a wonderful property that has a great field for the dogs to run and play. There is even a little forested area in the back with a tiny trail. The host has been great about communicating details on how to use the property- it is a working farm so you can expect to see farm workers etc. The neighbouring property has a dog kennel, where we could hear them barking but never saw them. Loved this property to take our reactive dogs off leash for them to have a good run!

The field was clean, flat, safe and fully fenced. There is a strand of barbed wire along the top of the 5ft fence but not an issue for normal play within the field. Dogs did bark from the kennel on the adjacent property as owner mentioned in the description but not a problem and well separated by two fences.

My pups had a blast! It was so heartwarming to see them run full speed as long and as hard as they wanted. We will be back!

Great location! The field was interesting to explore, there was a forested area and a larger, open field. We played some fun games of hide and seek with the ball, wandered around and explored and just sat back and relaxed. There are chairs for sitting and a beautiful view into the valley.

My dog had an absolute blast. It’s the perfect spot for a dog who loves to sniff. A word of warning that it seems the back fence in the wooded section is still just barbed wire with big gaps that dogs can get through but there seems to be a second fence to keep them on the property but some extra explorative types like mine might get between the fences and you’ll have to lure them back in the wooded section. We will definitely be back!

Could not access the rental field because owner’s barking dogs - 10 or 15 feet away - had my * can be* reactive dog absolutely peaking….

Host replied: Yes, as I said on your other 1 star review, the spot details explain all the details about domesticated animals on the property. My home is not a place for owners who can not keep their dog under control until it reaches the field or if they can not control their dogs in the chances they pass a leashed dog leaving the field... or if they can not be controlled by friendly dogs behind a fence that is 10 to 15 feet away. I wish you luck on finding another location. For anyone who reads this... all of my reviews have so far been 5 stars except for this lady who failed to read spot details and has written two reviews with 1 star.
