Hello! We’re just getting started hosting with Sniffspot and are excited to host you! Please let us know what we can do to improve the space. A past guest let us know we needed better signage, so we got a bright blue sign printed and hung it on the fenced area. Another guest mistook the community garden (incompletely fenced) for the play area (completely fenced). If you see vegetables, the area is not completely fenced! You're welcome to explore, just be respectful of the gardeners and plants please. The avocado tree overhanging the play area is dropping fruit right now, so if your dog likes to eat random stuff on the ground please be careful! The play area is tucked between St Stephen’s in-the-Field Episcopal Church and the left hand fence (turn from Santa Teresa Blvd onto Avenida España, then take the first right and head to the back). There are two churches on the lot, ours is at the back, with ample off street parking and lots of gardens to explore, in addition to the enclosed play space. Feel free to message with any questions!

HOST NOTE

There are lots of leaves and sticks to eat and some avocados dropping from the neighbor's tree.I guess a dog might hurt themselves going down the slide. On the broader campus, there's a working community garden, with nails and broken boards and blackberry bushes, so treating that area with respect is key. There are also ground squirrel holes in the large field, and lots of pollinators, birds, and small lizards.

June 22: The parking area to the fully-fenced area have been mowed short. We have tried to eliminate as many foxtails as possible. I am waiting on a tractor service for the hillside - the grass is taller w/ foxtails so recommend avoiding until it is mowed. SUMMER: Recommend AM visits before 10am or evening after 5pm. Our spot is full sun with very limited shade. We are trying to eliminate the foxtails but we have a large property and cannot guarantee we get all of them. **Horses visible in adjacent property occasionally Additionally, guests can enjoy the adjacent hillside which is partially-fenced.
