55My dogs love it here. Gets great sunlight during the day and has shade for when they need to take a break from playing. Perfect for small dogs.
55Wonderful yard and very friendly hosts! They are always very happy to respond to any messages and they are extremely accommodating. The yard is safe and it makes my very dog reactive pup feel like she can relax and have a good time. I love this place but more importantly my dogs do!
55Great yard, well kept and comfortable!
55This is a great backyard! Our dog had fun sniffing and running around. It is wonderful to have this within walking distance of our house. We will be back, thank you so much!
45Great spot and easy to find.
55One of Duck’s favorite yards! Very well kept and the host is very hospitable. There’s an option for beverages too! Will definitely be regulars here.
45Ideally situated and serene location for a coffee break. Grassy sun and shade with just enough space to play.
55This spot is lovely! My two dogs had a great time. The back fence is quite exposed to the alley so (as mentioned in the description) if you have a fence-reactive dog that could be a challenge. That said, the alley was quiet during our visit and we had zero issues. We will definitely visit again.
55This is a great, clean safe space to run around and play some energy out!
55Nice yard, quiet street, well maintained and comfortable.

Description

(JULY 1 - 5 SEE NOTE AT BOTTOM) Modest but useful fully enclosed 1600 sq ft back yard in Columbia City. If the nearby dog park on Genessee is too much for your pup, enjoy this little retreat instead. Fully fenced and enclosed for peace of mind (although if you have a jumper, take note that my fences are not super tall). There are two narrow strips along each side of the house which make for good sprints. The neighboring house is vacant and the other neighboring property is a duplex with no pets so it is a pretty tame zone. Trash day is Thursday and the yard faces the alley where the big green trash trucks growl past, so be aware of that potential distraction. Also, the neighbor to the south has an irregular, unpredictable schedule for the landscaping crew, and they can be really noisy for a hot 60 minutes when they show up. If they start up while you're here, let me know so I can rebook you at no cost. Ample street parking in front of the house on 38th Ave South. Enter through the gate on the north side of the red house. There is no parking along the back alley between 38th & 39th but there is a walk-in entrance from that alley if you prefer. The blue bin against the house contains some dog towels and a few other supplies. Please keep it latched to prevent critters from getting in. Shoot me a note if there are any problems with the yard or supplies. ************** JULY 1-5, 2024 Seattle Public Utilities advises that street construction will be taking place nearby during the first week of July (exact days/times unknown). While this is portrayed as being focused on the intersection of 38th & Genesee, it is fair to assume that heavy equipment, rerouted traffic and parking restrictions may clog things up around here during that week. Plan your travel accordingly!

Hazards

Yellow electrical cable along south fence is mostly but not entirely hidden… if you have a chewer, keep your eye on them in that area.
