UPDATE 1/31/24 - The Sniff Spot at RichKat Ranch will be closed until we can find a solution to the problens caused by flooding each time it rains. We're sorry to know that your pups won't get to explore and enjoy our space, but we're hopeful that there will be a resolution and that we will be able to provide an interesting and safe space again soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Be blessed ❤ Regarding reservations made more than 24 hours prior to your desired visit date, see this video. We consistently have to cancel or request reschedules due to unpredictable weather conditions. The video illustrates why. https://youtu.be/psBnbPRWPOY Please note: *There are low-lying areas of standing water and lots of mud after it rains here, and it's very difficult to scoop wet horse manure up in the pasture. We strongly advise against scheduling more than 48 hours before you'd like to visit as we often have to cancel reservations due to unsafe conditions related to weather that cannot be predicted further in advance. You and your furry family members can enjoy a peaceful, large, open paddock, and 1 acre pasture with shade trees, a pond, and fresh water for pups. There is SO much to see and smell at RichKat Ranch! Please note that the North and East pasture fences are wrought iron with spacing that could allow a puppy/small dog to pass through (toy breeds or those such as Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, etc). We look forward to sharing our space with you ♥ Please note: the "Maximum number of dogs allowed" is per SINGLE reservation - there are no other dogs on the property during your reserved time. Be sure to check out the "Extras" available for your visit! Fresh, home--baked dog treats are among them (24 advance notice required for this "extra") Happy Sniffing!

Squirrel, possum, and rabbit sightings - Our dogs sure do get overly excited about that...and not really a hazard, but you will come across equine manure here and there at times. It's not dangerous or harmful at all.

We offer private, in-home K9 boarding, and provide off-site equine & K9 care for farm and ranch owners in the Southlake/Keller area. All furry guests are considered part of our family while visiting RichKat Ranch, and we would be honored to include your pets among them. Wonderful spot to let your dog off leash! We do have 2 dogs in a dog run to the right side of the property near the house. They are very friendly but may bark out of excitement when you arrive, but Reno and Milo are super friendly. They will not be in the area for your dog but there is a small portion of shared chain linked fence. There is also plenty of space to play with your dog that isn't near Reno nor Milo. Some parts of the year there can be stickers in a small portion of the front yard. This doesn't seem to be a problem for short hair dogs at all, but your pup might get a couple if they have fluffy poodle hair or long hair. Every now and then 2 of the neighbors along the back side of the property have their dog in their backyard. Your dog will be able to see through, as the fence is chain link on the backside. The property is so large, there is definitely room for privacy, however. If you need to use the waterhose, it's on the left side of the house! When you arrive the first time, simply text me thrive the app and I'll let you in the front gate and show you around! Hope to meet you and pup soon.
