55This space was AWESOME! We were able to unload the pack directly from The Tail Wagon— my fave considering I usually have packs with an average of 6 dogs. We felt so secluded and submerged in nature! There were so many trail systems to explore! The trails were a little confusing when referring to the map because they are not labeled with the names listed, but I’m sure they’ll be easy to figure out once we get to know the space a little better. We definitely plan to return and often! Also, the views on the drive there from Portland were unbeatable! Highly recommend this spot!

Cleanliness

Hazards

The property is very wild and has its share of blackberry bushes. There is a bit of elevation change in the trails. It is forest land so you may see or hear the usual suspects like deer, chipmunks, elk, turkey. The neighbors have pictures of black bear on their trail camera but in the 2 years that we have walked our 4 dogs we haven't come across any hazardous animals.

Extras

Electric Dirtbike$250

Enjoy the Trails on a very user friendly Surron Electric Bike. We have two available.

We love dogs (we have four of our own, and Colleen works in rescue). We adore our mountain property in Stevenson and want to share its joy with others.

Please read ALL descriptions (including photos) before entering property. We have 3 separate fields. FIELD 1: Closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this field “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills. Orange flags indicate boundaries with a buffer to prevent trespassing onto neighboring property back into the woods. There are times when I have to leave or enter the property with my infant, which I will notify you if this is to happen during your visit. Our two dogs can be heard sometimes from this field (inside the house). You will find the 2nd gate entrance here, into field 2. Look for the black garbage can, as well as blue kiddy pool to navigate to field 2. FIELD 2: the best field! It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. The fencing is approximately 3’ high. Horses can be seen from this field on neighbor’s property, along with their dog, Cooper. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. I try my best to maintain and refresh a kiddy pool and the water bowl. Water access I strongly recommend against use during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance (on foggy days). is in field 1 by the house, please turn off with hose in “on” position to prevent built-up water pressure in the hose. Field 3: this is an excellent field for dogs with recall skills. Through the first two fields, is field 3, a property long and flat, one which openly borders our neighbor’s property. You must go through the gate at the bottom of field 2 to enter this field. While this field is technically entirely fenced, the entire property is not all ours, so we have marked boundaries using orange flags. Please reference photos for what these orange boundary flags look like. The orange flags indicate hazards along fence line, entrance to bee hives, and boundaries between properties. Cautions: Coyotes frequent this lower field on a weekly basis, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. I strongly recommend against use of this field during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance. Also, coyotes tend to be more active during these foggy periods. This field (field 3) is a split property (2 parcels), half ours, half theirs. The neighboring owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos of orange flags designating boundary lines). It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, and uneven grass. There is a digging area here too. I have seen coyotes, skunks, deer, owls, a feral cat, and bunnies in this field. Horses and neighbor dog cooper are sometimes visible. Please contact me with any questions!
