Fencing details: Two fenced in areas. One that is approximately an acre and for the farm animals. The other is approximately a quarter acre with kids’ play area and doghouse. This area is a chain-link 4’ high fence suitable to contain most all dogs.

Description

A 26 acre small farm, mostly forested/undeveloped with over a mile of flagged, cleared trails for you and your pooch to get some exercise and lots of interesting sniffs! Stoney Run, a small stream, traverses the property, and is accessible from several trail locations. As a circuit you will walk over a couple of miles just on the trail. The rest of the 26 acres is also free to roam, but typically tree covered. The farm animals can be fenced in an acre area, as requested. Our dogs can easily be put inside and our Pyrenees detained, if your pooch isn’t interested or ready for that sort of interaction. Typically our big guy, Titan, is the best part of our visiting dog’s experience. But that will be left entirely up to you. You can hit the trails and chase some squirrels , or play with Titan, or mix it up with a variety of the two as most of our guests tend to do. Our beautiful, forested Shenandoah Valley parcel will be yours to sniff about freely.

This was a perfect stop for Rosie and I on our cross-country trip. The trails are marked by red ribbons and are not too long so we looped around them once or twice (Rosie ran off leash and it really tuckered her out). There is a small creek. We went during the winter so the leaves were on the ground and the trees were bare. That helped us wander around a bit more. Ryan met us and showed us where to park and gave us a small tour. We will definitely swing back around when we drive back! Put on your hiking boots, it can get muddy through the woods! =)

We had a great time! We stopped by Stoney Brook Farm on our way to visit family, and it was the perfect spot for Rilo to decompress in the woods after a long car ride. Ryan and his wife were so helpful in making sure we found the place. Our pup loved playing in the stream and romping around the many trails.

Finding it was tricky, but ironically it was Tyson the farm's dog who found us. Ryan was kind when meeting us and showing us where the trails began. The property is beautifully wooded with marked trails. We had an amazing hike, and my pup loved the off leash time. I bought some chicken and duck eggs as well! We'll be back after we get moved closer to the area.

We always have a great time here! It’s the perfect spot to wander through the woods and escape into nature with my pup. Very convenient to get to and the trails are well marked. This is our favorite Sniffspot!

A lovely farm for a walk! The trails are well marked and shady. My dogs were very relaxed and happy to be there. My dogs loved playing in the creek. Ryan was very kind and showed us how to access the trails. We did not try out the fenced yard on this trip. We will definitely be back!

This place is a gem! Ryan was a great host, the trails are well marked, and there is lots of space to explore. River loved running the trails and playing in the creek. We loved it so much I came home and booked another session! As a bonus, Titan, their Great Pyrenees, was a pleasure to meet along with their other dogs AND they have organic, free-range chicken and duck eggs for sale! This was a lovely peaceful escape. We took our 2 dogs to Stoney Brook Farm and explored the trails. They had a lot of cool farm animals that were of interest to the boys and their dogs were very friendly.

I’m a biologist. My wife is a nursing instructor at a nearby community college. Someone is almost always here at our farm. We have a fairly large tract of beautiful woodlands and a small cleared out area within that we would like to share with you and your pooch(es). We have lots of cleared 4wheeler trails, several miles worth, that are waiting for you. There are tons of squirrels to chase if your doggy is into that!! Ours sure are.

I have an acre field and an acre of woods that is great for fetch and playing. It borders Interstate 64 and Miller School Road, and is currently unfenced. Please note that while it is unfenced, there is ample room to be away from the roads, but I would not advise having a dog known to run off leash here. I will keep my dog inside the house while you are here and you are free to park anywhere along the driveway or beside my vehicles.

2.5 acre lot, mostly wooded. We will be working on a trail that leads to a stream/creek. The yard surrounding our family dwelling is also available for resting and playing fetch, etc; however, you may hear my 2 dogs barking from inside, so ideally my Sniffspot would largely take place in the woods and creek directly behind the house.
