Private, Safe Play Spot In Wakefield

All bookings are private use with gaps in between so you won’t run into other guests. This 1/3 acre fenced-in yard is a great spot to sniff, run, dig, and play. The woods behind us gives the feeling of being more remote but we are just a few blocks from downtown. You can weave through the short path through the clump of mature tamarack trees where it’s nice and shady in the summer. We allow digging **behind** the trees as long as you supervise to make sure they’re not digging at the fence line and that anything they might dig up is safe for them. Your dog can check out our 3 foot high “treehouse” platform tucked near the trees with access ramp. Once up there they’ll have a sight line into the woods and can better see the wildlife which includes squirrels, blue birds, red tail hawks, bunnies, deer, and turkey. (The ramp is not secured down so if you don’t want your dog up there we can remove the ramp for you, please let us know in advance.) We live on nine acres of property in the woods of Lebanon, ME. We have a long dirt driveway leading up to our barn and house, with about 2 acres of yard surrounding the house for your pup to sniff and play. There are small streams along the sides of the property, lots of leaves and trees to sniff through, and even horses to see!

Fully fenced in acre with trails. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately six times around the trails equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, and lots of area for you and your dog to romp around. The main entrance to yard can be found by entering the second driveway and driving past the wood for sale bin and the solar barn. Designated parking is marked to the right of the entrance gate. In the winter, this area can be difficult to get to without four wheel drive. If you prefer to park in the driveway, please text me. We have reserved the third garage bay for winter Sniffspot parking. There is entry to the yard through this garage bay. If parking in the driveway….There is a garage door opener hanging under the keypad on the left side of the third garage door. This is your entry to the garage. Once inside, please use garage door opener hanging on yard entrance door to close the garage door during your visit. Please repeat steps when you leave ensuring all doors and fence gates are securely closed behind you. As stated earlier, if you prefer to continue parking out back and your vehicle can get out there, feel free to use that entrance to the yard. However, if that driveway is unpassable due to mud, it will be blocked off and you will have to use the driveway parking. Wherever you park, please feel free to help yourself to coffee, hot chocolate, water and snacks located in the third garage bay. There’s also water bowls and water as well as fresh towels for your pups located in the garage. We would appreciate a 24 hour notice for all reservation changes or cancellations. No other dogs or people will be in the fenced area while you schedule your playtime!!! This is an opportunity to book this yard allllll to yourself and your pooch(s)!!! We do verify vaccination records of all dog guests prior to first booking. Our two households have fenced in our yards together, making an epic dog run spot! On the other side of the fence, there is a scenic (possibly "wetlands") field with long grass and wild animal sightings. This month (Nov. 2022) we have seen multiple Hawks, Bald Eagles, Deer, Rabbits and Squirrels. Located just a hop off Stark Ave, this is a convenient location to spend some of that dog energy! Property known as Walnut Hill has 30+ acres of unfenced woods and trails of nearly two miles. Dogs are free to run untethered if appropriate for the dog and handler. GPS collar recommended and available for rent.

Our farm is open fields, lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim, and in the summer grab some vegetables at the farm stand. There are ungroomed walking trails that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. There are a couple other dogs on site but they’re old and won’t bother you. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please.

Fully fenced in area with a dedicated gate for your use. Please park and walk down the hill to a large metal gate. Children’s play equipment is available including swings, a slide, and a sandbox. Unfortunately, there is no available access to a water hose in this area.

These yards are used for a doggie daycare during business hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm. They are kept free from waste and safe for pups to play.
