Welcome to our quiet, country yard—formerly a goat pen! This fully fenced 3,690 sq. ft. space is located at the end of a dead-end road in beautiful Cumberland, Maine. It’s perfect for dogs who love to sniff, explore, and run off-leash in a peaceful rural setting. The yard is enclosed with a 3-foot-high wire livestock fence (1 ft x 7 in spacing between wires), which offers a safe environment for most dogs, though it may not be suitable for very small pups or high jumpers without supervision. The space is adjacent to a quiet street where neighbors sometimes walk their dogs, so your pup might spot some friendly passersby. Enjoyable farm fields with lots of room for dogs to roam and play. Wildlife does show up at times, anywhere from deer, turkeys, skunks and porcupines. Our main field does abut a golf course, and often get stray balls fly over the fence into our field. To avoid being hit by one, I’d recommend staying more towards the middle to right of the field. During deer season we do require the owner and dog to be wearing orange, and don’t have guests come on Saturdays. We do hay our fields in the summer (May/June-September) time, and once that begins we will set up a schedule with specific areas that can be utilized.

Lots of room to run and play ball or frisbee! Pond can be used by the dogs at your discretion. Pond is not treated or tested but my dogs used to get in it. There are turtles, frogs, geese (please chase the geese away!), ducks and maybe other wildlife at the pond too. Separately there is 40 acres of woods. See the map I drew in the photos.
