Please read description for rules as well, this is just a summary. 1. Do NOT disturb the gopher tortoise or its burrow on the South fenceline near the mulched area. Keep dogs at least 10 feet away from burrow, and do not allow them to chase the tortoise if it is out of the burrow. The burrow is located on the south fenceline next to the mulched area. 2. No harassing or killing wildlife, including any snakes seen on property. (It is okay to chase squirrels, but do not allow animal to kill squirrels.) 3. Never leave pets unattended. 4. No digging, especially in the native plant area on the North side of the house or the garden. 5. Pick up and dispose of all poop. Great yard. It's exactly as described and was very easy to access and use. My dog loves sniffing all over.
What a nice little property to let your dogs run off leash. They were able to accommodate me on very short notice. The host responded to my messaging regarding water and my two girls loved the time exploring the area....it's close to Gainesville and a nice drive.
Great place! My pups were so excited to have room to run and investigate all the new smells. There are two curious donkeys across the street, which my dogs loved as well. The owner was very responsive too. Definitely would love to come back again soon.
Always love coming here! The owner is awesome!!
I appreciate Megan sharing her special wild life sanctuary with us. She always let us know if any critters have been seen and alerts us to pay attention and stay respectful. I love that because the last thing I would want is my dog to do harm to Wildlife. we had a wonderful opportunity last time of meeting donkeys over the fence 👏
Wonderful spot for chasing a ball and sniffing.
Great place so near the city!
Always love coming here. Well kept respectful property that isn’t just an open field. Owner cares about their property, nature, and wildlife ❤️❤️
Great spot. Great host. There is some nice shades under oaks as well.

Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Our ranch currently has no land improvements, which means that you’ll have to bring your own water, snacks, poo bags, and flashlights if you book early or late in the day. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. So be prepared for an encounter with a gentle Florida wilderness. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much needed! We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are very rare. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are unkempt. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoys lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic chairs. We usually turn them sideways when we leave so they don’t collect rainwater. There are a couple cones and tires and poles around the sitting area and you’re welcome to rearrange them for your dog’s needs. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do!
This is a completely fenced-in property with plenty of room for your fur babies to run and play while you relax under one of the 5 shade trees on site, or just lay out a picnic in the grass. The kids are also not left out, there is an on site petting zoo where your kiddos can meet with the goats, ducks, and chickens on site and have plenty of room to enjoy themselves. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing, spot then there is none better. See you soon.
Beautiful maintain lawn area for your pup(s). In a cul de sac with plenty of parking. Entry through either fence and have a screened in porch with plenty of seating
Fenced-in backyard with space for dogs to exercise. Water hose available. Plenty of seats around the fire pit. Lights at night. No indoor restrooms or covered space from rain so plan accordingly.
Our small farm is a perfect place for your furry (or not so furry) friends to enjoy the zoomies to their hearts content!!!
G2 Barn Hunt offers a 9 acre pasture with plenty of shade. A water trough with steps is provided for swimming as well as a fresh water bowl for drinking. It is completely fenced with field fence. Be aware of holes that dogs have dug going after moles. It is a great location for dogs to dig and run! I will be adding a hammock and a smaller trough in the near future. A trash can and dog bags are available. There is plenty of shaded parking under the beautiful live oaks! A porta-potty is on site. Lots of area for your dogs to have a blast and run around!
Rancho Paco is a beautiful homestead located near WEC. Offering 6 Acres of fully fenced wooded, shaded area to explore. There is also access to a fully fenced open paddock to run and play.
4 acre mini farm. Currently no horses in residence. 3 large fully fenced pastures with large oak trees for your dogs to run and enjoy. Plenty of room to park. Entrance gate requires code to open. Once you make your reservation you will receive the code. Notes on the gate - If it doesn't open fully when you enter the code - typically that means you didn't press the keys firmly or you hesitated too long between pressing the 4 digits. If it doesn't open fully - please count to five before entering the code a second time. Whatever you do, don't start punching the code quickly over and over - that is a sure way to guarantee it will not open correctly. Exiting through the gate: There is a sensor for when you exit - just keep driving at 5 - 7 mph towards the gate and don't pause until you see it start to open. People make the mistake of stopping when they have only partially passed the sensor. If you made it all the way to the gate and it didn't open you were likely hesitating or didn't drive fast enough. In any case back up at least 20 feet (think 5 car lengths) wait 10 seconds for the gate to reset itself before driving towards it again to exit.
