I would love to share my big, beautiful backyard with other dogs and the people who love them! I have a new fence that is completely secure -- my two curious chihuahua mixes are capable of finding any holes or openings no matter how small, so rest assured that your dogs will stay safe inside once the gate is closed. The fence is 6 feet high, so your dogs won't be able to see into neighbors' yards or the road, although they may get glimpses of my dogs through the sliding glass doors into my home. There are LOTS of smells to sniff, places to explore, and trees to pee on. I have automatic solar-powered string lights throughout the backyard, so if you want to come by after dark, your visit will still be completely illuminated. While your dogs zoom and play, feel free to relax in the hammock or get some work done at the picnic table. This backyard is the perfect place to spend an afternoon!

HOST NOTE

There are hackberry trees in my backyard that often drop berries on the ground. These are NOT poisonous to dogs, and are in fact quite nutritious! I know it can be scary if your dogs are eating random berries, but my dogs eat these all the time. :)

Please note: the gate to get into the backyard can be a bit tricky to open from the outside. It sometimes sticks on the latch, but it just needs a firm hand. Feel free to jostle with it if you need to!

We have lots of shade - large trees plus a covered seating area. Grass area is 75% natural grass, 20% artificial turf (keeps muddy paws at bay), and 5% unmowed tall grass for friendly creatures - rabbits, bugs, birds, butterflies, and the occasional grass snake, who all like the creek area. Swimming pool is maintained on a weekly basis. Shallow end is 4ft, deep end is 7ft. Entry steps in shallow end and two underwater seat ledges. Pool rules: NO DIVING (jumping in is fine) and no running around pool edge.
