Great spot for the dogs! They LOVED the stream!
Shelby left us fresh water, and there are seats for humans and tons of space to run around for our three big pups! Lots of great smells, too!
This spot is great to let dogs run free! It’s mostly flat, with some holes from wildlife, but we fetched for the entire hour and didn’t have any issues. My dog loved sniffing around the pasture area. We didn’t see any other dogs but there was one person working on their car in the yard (no issue for us and it was away from the fence). We brought a water bottle but there was a bowl and chairs in the yard!
Awesome sniff spot!! Our dogs had a blast!
I do want to say thank you for opening up this field for people to bring their dogs. We did enjoy our time and plan on returning here but wanted to make a few notes - I struggled with getting the chain off the gate but the host was very quick to respond and help so I could figure it out. There is a big white dog across the driveway that looks like he could jump over the fence and barked most of the time we were there. My main concern is all the holes in the field. My dog is a fast runner and we go to these places so he can chase a ball. But there's so many holes I got worried he was going to get his foot caught and get hurt. I walked the field trying to find an area that had less holes and the back part does but in the process I ended up losing our ball to the busy street next to the field. So we just walked around and he enjoyed exploring and sniffing in the holes. Honestly this spot offers such a good deal that I plan on being back but we'll use this spot more for exploring rather than running.
Host replied: Hi Megan- I’m sorry about Opie. My 2 teenage sons were home on a school holiday and told me they brought him in and did not bark. :/ I’ll be chatting with them about that and my apologies. We hope you’ll come back and visit again soon. Cheers!
This was perfect for us! Nice and quiet, nobody around, wide open for fetch, and easy to find with lots of helpful signage. Smaller escape artists could probably squeeze under the entry gate.
My dog had a blast running around this large field. Next time I'll bring my camp chair to sit on.
