This place is huge land really great. The only things I wish is that people who come here would avidly pick up after their dogs. Also I wish the random tires, crates, and water jugs would get cleared out.

This field was wonderful. Clean and great space. Our dog loved it. We’ll be back.

Really great spot! I have a very reactive dog so this was the perfect place for him to explore with peace of mind. We didn’t check the weather and it was a little rainy when we came so we’re definitely planning to come back when it’s sunny!

Loved this spot! Perfect area with lots of open space for our two pups to run and play. 6ft fence was great as well!

The space was great! Really clean, super easy to find and my dog had so much fun running around.

This is a great spot - well maintained and spacious! Only thing to beware of is a nearby walking path/kids' park if you have reactive dogs. Mine were fine but had one other dog owner from walking path who tried to enter thinking it was a dog park. There are signs to prevent this but just a note for those with reactive dogs!

The area is nice and big and the host sent really clear directions on how to find and enter the area. The only reason my rating isn’t higher is that there was a significant amount of poop in the area. I counted more than 37 dog poops in the area that were not picked up. I brought balls and toys to play with my dogs but I wasn’t able to use any of them because of the amount of droppings on the ground.

Host replied: Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I'm so sorry you had this experience. While we try to pick up the spot daily, that holiday weekend my husband was out of town. I know people enjoy the spot, so I try not to close it if he is away, but our one other complaint of poop was under the same circumstances, so maybe it's best we do so, as even though it's completely unacceptable on our end, there seems to be a theme of people not picking up after themselves during those times that we are working on getting to the bottom of! Again, my apologies for your experience.

Hello! I hope you and your pup enjoy your reservation. A few tips to help first-time guests: - Make sure the address you come to is 61 3rd st South Orange NJ 07079, and NOT 61 w 3rd st. Sometimes Apple Maps will add in that West, but that’s a different address. - Please don’t park in the driveway, as we may need to come and go during your visit. There’s typically lots of free street parking on Third street between Valley and Academy. - Feel free to let yourself into the backyard through the white gate at the back of the driveway. Please be very careful to ensure that the gate fully closes and latches each time it’s opened, as it will not close + lock behind you automatically. - There is a water spout attached to a hose by the gate, feel free to use! Just please don’t try to disconnect the hose from the faucet, as it’s been damaged in the past. To use, gently turn the brown handle to release the water, and gently turn it back to shut off. - No need to worry too much about our outdoor furniture, it’s mostly hand-me-downs and we don’t mind if it gets banged up by energetic puppies 😊 feel free to move it around as needed. - All we ask is that you please clean up after pup and take any garbage and waste with you, as we do not have an accessible garbage can at this time (but hopefully soon!) - Please feel free to message me with any questions at all! I’ll do my best to respond ASAP Have fun, and hope to see you again!
