Description

Come and visit us at Wags & Whiskers Wonderland. Where tails wag fast and wave high, whiskers smile, wet noses sniff, zoomies can zoom and doggie wishes come true! Come alone with your dog, with doggie friends or maybe a doggie birthday "pawty" (pawty packages available). We love being a part of Sniffspot and providing a safe space for dogs to get exercise and explore. I have had reactive dogs and understand the struggles to find fun and safe spaces for them to explore. Come here and enjoy a fully fenced backyard with pool (OPTIONAL EXTRA FEE-POOL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARD BOOKING FEE AND YOU MUST ADD EXTRA). Fence height 4 - 5 feet. Large park like setting with grassy flat area for dogs to romp and play. There are dog bowls available and a hose for water. There is a patio seating area (seasonal) with table and chairs as well as a furnished and seasonally decorated gazebo to sit and enjoy some shade and take some cute photos. We also leave free treats in the gazebo for our furry guests. A large mulberry tree also provides some nice shade with an available hammock (seasonal) to share with your furry friend. There is a heated built in pool, which is separately fenced for safety, and available for use with ADDITIONAL FEE. Dog toys available for in and out of the pool. For pool users we offer several sizes of dog swim vests from XS to XL. I also offer a supply of bug spray and sunscreens. In case of muddy paws there are pet wipes for dogs, hand wipes for human guests and also a first aid kit just in case. There is a large private driveway for parking. Please remember the purpose of Sniffspot...to interact with your dog so please engage with them and supervise them at all times…no dogs should be unattended at any time. My main focus of becoming a host is for the enjoyment, enrichment, benefit and safety of THE DOGS...this is why we have clear rules, boundaries and limitations which we ask that all of our guests respect. Please always ask if you have any questions or need clarification. POOL CLOSED FOR 2023 SEASON - OPENING DATE FOR 2024 SEASON TBD To our pool users...If you have added the pool as an add on, the dogs are all welcome. Their humans (1 adults only per dog) are also allowed to enter with the dog as long as the human is interacting/playing with the dog (if no dog in the pool, then no people in the pool). If your dog has never been in a pool, DO NOT traumatize your dog by just throwing them in and PLEASE USE LIFE VEST (many sizes available) and introduce slowly. I do my best to clean/skim the hair out of the pool between guests IF I am home. Unfortunately, I am not always home and cannot attend to the pool in between, and I apologize in advance if there is hair from a previous guest. I have a robot skimmer which may be floating in the pool to help keep if clean. If it is in the pool, please remove before entering and replace when you are done (there are instructions on how to do that at the pool). If you have a dog that may heavily shed, perhaps brush if possible before attending so that less hair enters the pool. We want to keep it nice and clean for all of our guests so everyone has a positive experience.We also do not want to put extra stress on the pool filter so we can keep it running for everyone to use. I also leave a skimmer net by the pool if needed. FYI...It's NJ so the pool is only open from May until mid September. Please keep this in mind when booking and feel free to message me if you want to check on availability. NOTE: 1) PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY DOG THAT IS SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF SICKNESS OR ILLESS (DIARRHEA, VOMITING, COUGHING, LETHARGY). ALSO, I KNOW SNIFFSPOT ASKS ABOUT DOGS BEING VACCINATED BUT DOESN'T REQUIRE PROOF. I BEG OF ANY GUEST THAT YOUR DOG PLEASE BE HEALTHY AND FULLY VACCINATED. I HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG THAT IS IMMUNE COMPROMISED AND I NEED TO PROTECT HIS WELL BEING. 2) Allowed 1-2 adults per dog ONLY. 3) Pool area: Use at your own risk. Pool is 3 - 10ft on the deepest end. No running, diving or food/glass around pool. Please do not leave dogs unattended. 4) Raised deck attached to house not for use by guests. 5) Please return everything to it's proper place where you found it. 6) No alcohol or smoking. 7) Please do not let your dog pee or scratch at the pool equipment (filter/heater) behind the pool. 8) I do have some weekend blocks on the schedule. If you are interested in a specific day/time, please let me know, and I still may be able to accommodate you upon request. 9) I currently have dog limit set to 6 but can accommodate more upon request so please feel free to ask. We can make special accommodations upon request.

This sniffspot was epic! So much space for our 8 month old lab mix to fun full speed. The lawn was very well kept and the owners did a great job thinking of everything. Extra toys, treats, wipes and more. We'll definitely be returning to this spot!

Our 4 month old black lab had such a blast here. Leslie was super hospitable and even had a welcome gift for our puppy. The yard was super clean and well kept. There was a large selection of toys to keep the pup entertained. We can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time using Sniffspot and wow what a great experience. Our pup is a very anxious girl but loves to run and play, so finding a safe, quiet spot has always been difficult. Leslie’s spot was absolutely perfect, and our dog felt immediately comfortable. The space was clean, quiet, sunny, and so much room to run around and explore. Leslie stocked her space with poop bags, toys, treats… she really has thought of it all. We had such a nice time. Thanks Leslie!!

It was everything described. There were free treats and a ball we could take home along with a little goodie bag. There were various water bowls set up and a little station with stuff to clean paws (which we needed because there was a muddy spot in the corner that my dog loved). I overestimated how long my dog would hold out for so I booked for an hour and a half but only stayed for an hour. My dog was soo tired by the end of it but he loved exploring the yard and running around!
Host replied: Thank you Sofia! I love that you and Bear enjoyed your time at our SS. All the dogs seem to love that muddy corner (that’s why I try to give everyone the heads up before they come). I’m so happy that Bear did a lot of exploring and took home his goody bag and toy! We love dogs and always want to treat them special. You can’t imagine how many dogs can’t last the full time especially their first time. They seem to run themselves tired very quickly since it’s such a new fun experience. He will learn how to pace himself the more he comes lol. It was a pleasure hosting for you and really hope to see you again soon!!

Our dog loved his time at Leslie’s Sniffspot. Its very well kept, manicured and has a tonn of toys to keep your fluffy friends busy. She even has wipes for dogs and humans, a first aid kit, a toy basket to take a toy home and a photo op. We cant wait to be back!

Hi! My name is Leslie. I absolutely love dogs which makes it easy to share my space so that lots of dogs can run and play in a safe space. It brings me so much joy when I see a dog with a big toothy smile on their face. I rescue dobermans, many of them special needs. I also volunteer with a doberman rescue. I have had up to 5 dobermans at one time but right now I have 1 boy. Eddie is a 75 lb. 6-year old rescued black/rust doberman. He is my special needs boy. I adopted Eddie when he was 4 months old knowing he was vision impaired. He was transported to me from a rescue in Florida. Eddie was found to be completely blind and also has very significant brain damage. Despite all of his issues, Eddie is truly the sweetest most lovable dog on the planet. He is always happy and just lives every day to the fullest. His favorite thing is playing tug and running like crazy in the yard.
