Description

Satchel's Place is pleased to reopen in our new location in rural Brooksville! Non-profit status pending. Proceeds from Satchel's Place benefit local rescues and pet owners suffering financial hardship. Working with local vets, we provide financial assistance for pets facing "financial euthanasia" because owners cannot afford medical care for their best friend. Five minutes from either the Dade City exit (293, Blanton Rd) or from the north, exit 301 (US98/SR50). Centrally located 35 minutes from Tampa, 45 minutes from Orlando. Over 3 acres, completely fenced. Cleared area with shade for ball playing, wooded paths for walking. Enjoy privacy in a beautiful, natural setting with your pup! Agility equipment on site (recreational use only). Dog wash coming! Please note, this is a rural setting. Dogs may be heard barking in the background, but they cannot be seen nor can they enter the site. However, for auditorially reactive dogs, please have them remain on leash until they are comfortable. Owner available for communication at any time through the Sniffspot app.

Although this is vacant, wooded land, do not leave litter behind. No alcohol is permitted on the property. As the property is wooded, smoking is strictly prohibited. Video and still camera monitoring in place. Closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid stubbed toes and dirty feet!

Wonderful spot! Its very well shaded with a secured fence (if my dog could get out he would). Lots of trails to sniff and run and an agility course to play with. Bug spray, water bowl and water bottles provided by host. Also brought my toddler along and he had fun running around after the dogs. We will definitely be back! (Picture not of my dogs, but a cute caterpillar we saw)

We drove from Tampa and the drive was easy if you follow the directions provided when you book the spot, not your GPS. Beautiful property, fence is secure. We heard some dogs on a different property but never saw any. Nice trail for the dogs to walk off leash. Great agility equipment for them to drain energy in a shaded area. Most of the property is shaded. My two very active dogs were pooped after 50 minutes, we stayed two hours. I will come back.

My dog and I really enjoyed Satchel's Nature Place! There is enough space for a dog to run and play. Also, there is a bucket with toys, water, and a bowl provided at the entrance just in case you forgot any of that. Thanks for an amazing experience!

We had an amazing time and the property is awesome!! The host had a basket with water bottles, drinking bowl and another basket full of toys, balls etc… it was soooo nice 🥹 I would give a 100 starts to this if I could 😆

Our dogs had a blast! The directions we were given made it easy to find. There were buckets with water, toys for the dogs, and bug spray. We loved walking the trails and they loved exploring!
