55Perfect quiet spot for my dog to run around!
55Fall has certainly put on a beautiful show at this Sniffspot! The gorgeous autumn colors surrounding the property, combined with the morning frost, make for a picture-perfect setting. The pups, however, apparently didn't get the memo that it's getting cold! While the humans were noticing the frosty temperatures, they were far too busy running, exploring, and having the time of their lives. Apparently, four paws come with a built-in resistance to chilly mornings! The peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery, and freedom of a private, fully fenced space make this such a wonderful place to visit in every season. We may have to adjust our arrival time as the mornings get colder, but the pups have made it clear they're perfectly happy with the current schedule!
55Fall has definitely arrived, bringing those wonderfully cool, dewy mornings that make this Sniffspot even more enjoyable! The peaceful setting, spacious fenced area, and beautiful surroundings make it such a lovely place to start the day. With the cooler temperatures, the pups seem to have endless energy, and having a full half-acre where they can run, explore, and enjoy themselves is such a treat. After months of regular visits, one thing remains certain: this place is just as wonderful in October as it was when we first discovered it in June. It's rare to find somewhere that consistently delivers such a great experience, season after season. We're already looking forward to seeing what the colder months bring!

55A little different visit for us today! During the summer we usually prefer the cool mornings, but we went this afternoon in the heat of the day and discovered that this little valley seems to stay just a bit cooler. Even on an 85-degree afternoon, the shade made it surprisingly comfortable, and the pups certainly appreciated the cool drinking water waiting for them! It had been a while since we simply sat down in the grass under a shade tree and looked up through the leaves gently moving overhead. Such a peaceful way to spend an afternoon while the dogs got to just be dogs. Our one-year-old rescue even discovered a new favorite activity, happily chasing along the fence after the occasional car that went by! Morning or afternoon, we've decided this really is the place for pups to pup!
55Five more visits later, and somehow they continue to find new ways to impress us! At this point, what stands out most isn't just the Sniffspot itself, but the people behind it. When they knew the property wouldn't be mowed for a week, they reached out well ahead of time so we could make other arrangements if we were not comfortable having the pups in taller grass. When weather caused a last-minute change of plans, they graciously worked with us to adjust the schedule. And then, as if they hadn't already spoiled us and the dogs enough, they left some of their AMAZING honey for us to take home! That kind of thoughtfulness is something you just don't find everywhere. Five more visits, four very happy regulars, and still so appreciative that we found this place!

My property is located on a long, gravel driveway (named by me as Maple Gap Rd) off Frozen Creek Road and just a short distance from the back entrance of Gorges State Park. Once turning onto Frozen Creek Road it’s about 1.3 miles on your right. You’ll see a small green sign saying Maple Gap Road and a Sniffspot sign. Parking is available beside the garage (looks like a house). Ok to park behind my silver truck that stays there. You’ll see a Sniffspot ‘park here’ sign, a dog waste station with bags, and a brown bench with tennis balls, water bowls, and bug spray in a storage bin under the seat.
