55This is such a gorgeous place! It is clean, well maintained, and it has a nice combination of paths and swimming opportunities. My Labrador retriever enjoyed swimming in the pond, as well as the walk on the path surrounding the pond. We got the chance to practice some retrieves. Tim, the host, is extremely friendly and welcoming. He ensured that I found the place ok and that we are having a good time. I highly recommend this place, and would certainly visit again if I am in the area.

35The sniffspot itself was nice- very well equipped and easily accessible. The house on the property had two loose dogs when we arrived; one of them clawed up the side of my car trying to get at my dogs and was growling at mine through the windows before we even got out. Really did not like one of my dogs. Luckily they were put up so we could enjoy the property.
55Awesome place to bring your pups for some off leash freedom! I always look for a spot that is safe for swimming and easy for the dogs to enter the water. Their pond was amazing and the dogs had a great time.

Dog park in Western Tidewater offers convenient access to our furry canine friends across Hampton Roads, Virginia providing City Dogs a chance to experience the Country Dog living. Includes access to two walking trails, a full size pond, plenty of land to run around, and beautiful, breathtaking views.

We don’t want a stray hunting dog to interfere with someone’s Sniffspot time. So we made the decision to close for 2 months. We’re sorry, it was a tough decision, but think it’s best. We promise - We’ll reopen in December 2025. Welcome to 50 acres of puppy heaven! Located off Crittenden Road in Suffolk, Virginia. Please take dirt lane, there is no house. Please do not disturb neighbors. Drive or Walk through the gate and the whole area is yours! There are walking trails in the woods, a pond to find and a river to explore. The open field is wonderful for training and or play. Your dog will love exploring this wonderful property. ***This is the country. The land is wonderful to explore but it is vacant and undeveloped. You will encounter nature, really in the spring and summer. There are ticks, snakes, uneven ground, rabbits, wet spots, etc. Please only book if you are used to the outdoors and being adventurous!*** Update from my guests comments: Wear bug spray when it’s warm, check for ticks after a visit, boots are recommended after rainy days, dogs may get muddy bring towels and look for the new mailbox to identify the dirt lane off the road. The back of the yard is partially wooded but plenty of space to run and play. I am an owner of 4 dogs of which 3 go in the back the 4th is a rescue with high anxiety and gets walked. I do have dogs on both side of me. One side is quiet the other are hounds that will bark or howl. Currently there is an above ground pool not covered and no deck around it only steps. The steps will be removed soon and it will be closed for winter. Great running space for any dog that needs to stretch there legs.
