55Today was our 3rd visit to Smithhaven. It is a great place to take your dog out for a run or for swimming. The pond is very clean and there is a dock if your dog likes to dock dive. There is also a covered deck with chairs if you want to step out of the sun.
55My dog had a great time here! Very clean and plenty of room to run. There was a cat that hung out by the pavilion—there were no issues, but worth noting! Thank you!
55Really nice large, quiet property to go run and swim. The pond is large and clean. My dog had a great hour playing here! It is not fully fenced and it would be possible for a small dog (or very determined medium/larger dog) to get through some of the wooden fenced areas in the back, so if you’re worried about recall or your dog wandering too far consider using a long line. The pond and grassy areas are fairly private though and set back from the road so off leash is a possibility if you’re more confident in your dog’s recall. We’ll definitely be back for more playtime a day swimming!
55Smithhaven is the best! 10 acres to walk about and a very clean pond for swimming (with a dock). It was easy to locate. There is a shaded area with chairs. Only 3 sides are fenced but the pond is behind the house and is set back from the road which is not heavily traveled at all. I knew Ollie would not stray far from the pond so I didn’t worry about it. We will be regular visitors to Smithhaven!

Description

A dog heaven. 12 acres to explore and a 2 acre pond to play or swim in. One side of the property is tree lined with smells of wildlife and neighboring farm animals.

Hazards

If your dog enjoys swimming, bring a water vest so they don’t get too tired swimming. The pond is 2 acres.

Never enter a spot before your booking start time and never leave late.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.
