55My dog loved sniffing around and exploring in the water and forest. Thank you!
55Amazing sniff spot!!! Pond/stream for swimming and sipping. Backs up to a state park where the woods go on (no walking paths, so we were not worried about seeing others) My guy had a blast. There is a road on either side so bring a long lead or make sure your dog has okay recall :)
55Great spot to get out energy and run ! Can’t wait to come back and check out the pond in warmer weather ! My dogs had a great time !
25We understood it was not fenced but I didn't see the road in the pictures. We have a new puppy and was excited to have her off leash but didn't even get out of the car because of the proximity of the road. Also a sign or something would be nice indicating the correct area. Nice water spot but the road was too close for comfort
55Our two Brittanys loved it! It was safe and fun! Plenty of sniffing with a little stream and a big pond circled by plush well groomed meadows (no burs, thorns or hitch-hikers). We’ll be back! Thank you!
55Nicole's place is a dream! We went after a heavy rain so the fields were muddy as we expected but the pond was incredible! The dogs had a blast. Can't wait to visit again!
55This was our second visit and it was just as lovely as the first. Nicole was very responsive, accommodating and helpful. The property is large and well-maintained. Our dogs loved running around, swimming and, eventually, relaxing with a bone. Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your space.
55Beautiful property lots of room for dogs to roam
55Even though it was an hour away, i signed up for sniffspot just to go here! As a husky mix, Oliver needs lots of exercise but doesn’t tolerate the heat well so I was looking for a place with water to keep him cool. This spot delivered and he has a blast!

Host replied: Hi Thomas, Thank you for the feedback and I am happy to hear you decided not to stay with a new puppy. Our property is very large with a pond as listed and a road you can see on the map and picture. Although our pond separates the road and the property we do only hope that owners with trained dogs bring their dogs to play unless they are keeping them on a long lead. I would suggest sticking to fenced properties until your puppy is well trained off leash to ensure the safety of your pet on any property. Thanks for the interest in our property and best of luck with your new pup! -Nicole

Hound Hill Rustic 1 Acre Fenced Private Dog Park in West Avon

Find us on Facebook! Search: Hound Hill, 1 acre fenced private dog park in West Avon Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!
