We enjoyed our time exploring the property! There were signs clearly showing where to park and they had water and treats available for our dog :)
My girls had a wonderful visit! So much acreage to run and a glorious pond to cool off in. They are very exhausted now. This place is great for dogs with reasonable recall. It's a free roaming area, but not near any roads or people so we felt quite safe off leash. We heard a distant dog (across a large pond) and saw ducks but didn't come across other animals. We will definitely be back!!
I'm not sure why this is not being booked. We parked at the top of the hill took a walk out the trail, played with the frisbee. Oso splashed in the water (if you have a dog that likes to swim this is perfect). Scooby dug a hole and rolled in the grass. We enjoyed how beautiful the area is, the wildflowers, the rocks, the birds (we saw two woodpeckers up in the tree but I couldn't get my camera ready fast enough). We saw no people, the dogs and goats and chickens are on the other side of the hill so the dogs did not see them. The fence wouldn't keep them in if they wanted to roam but they were perfectly happy to stay with us and it is such a large area you're not really right next to the fence. Paradise for us.
This is an absolutely beautiful spot with woods, rocky environment and a really nice wetland. Our dogs absolutely had a wonderful time. My Oso doesn't swim but absolutely loves playing the water and bark at his echo. I hope that didn't bother anyone. Scooby just loves to sniff and smell. And they're both really good about getting up up on things and jumping over things and fetching sticks and just being able to run full out. The fence probably is good for a boundary but smaller dogs who are escapees could get through easily. I don't think we got any ticks but we were prepared. You can really get a nice walk or sit and listen to the frogs and the Red Wing blackbirds in the marsh. Next time I think we will book a longer time,

My name is Ray. My son, girlfriend and I have 50 acres by Cheney Washington. It’s about 5 acres around the house and 45 of timber and pond. We have 3 goats, 3 dogs a cat and chickens. The dogs are all working dogs and we use the goats for backpacking. We are excited to share our small piece of paradise with others.
