As you both catch your breath, you’ll be captivated by the view that stretches out before you in this unique one-acre fenced open space in Southwest Escondido. It’s the perfect blend of tranquility and countryside feel, all within easy reach of Rancho Bernardo, Lake Hodges, 4S Ranch, Peñasquitos, and San Marcos, just 5 minutes from I-15. At The Artsy Dog Place, you can take the leash off and let your puppy enjoy the freedom of exploring while you tap into your own artistic talents. Art supplies are available at no extra cost, allowing you to unleash your creativity while your dog scampers up and down the hill. Leave your mark on our community shed—a message, a signature, or a whimsical drawing—or paint a rock to add to our growing collection! It’s a place where dreams take shape, fostering a sense of togetherness and inspiration. Thoughtfully designed with your pet’s safety in mind, the park is securely fenced, with two sides at 6 feet and the other two at 4 and 5 feet, ensuring your dog can play freely and safely. As you enjoy the serene surroundings, you might hear chickens, roosters, and goats in the distance or catch glimpses of squirrels and hawks. Nature truly thrives here! When you arrive, simply park horizontally next to the fence and enter through the black metal door, which will be open for your convenience. Doggy bags are always available, and we kindly ask that you please clean up after your dog to help keep the park beautiful for everyone. A Note on Safety and Park Care: Please be aware that ground squirrels also call our property home, so there may be some holes. We recommend wearing appropriate footwear (no heels) for your safety. To help us keep the ground safe and beautiful for all our guests, we also ask that you prevent your dog from digging, as this can create tripping hazards. We know some pups just love to dig! If your dog does make a hole, we kindly ask that you use the provided shovel to fill it in and return the area to its original condition before you leave. Rainy Day Amenities: On rainy days, our rinsing station is available to help clean up muddy paws before heading home. We also ask that you please leave any dirty tennis balls in the blue tub with soapy water, located on the other side of the fence, to keep them fresh for the next guest. Two beautiful horses have moved in next door! While they are not always visible, you might hear a friendly “hee” every now and then. To ensure a harmonious environment for everyone, we kindly request that you maintain a distance of at least 5 feet from our neighbor’s fence at the top of the property. Our neighbor values their privacy, and respecting this boundary helps us keep The Artsy Dog Place open for all to enjoy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Our hens are now producing beautiful colored eggs! They are fed from our garden and lovingly protected by our border collies, Mango and Jeter. Text us the day before your visit, and we can bring you a carton of un-washed eggs: 12 for $8 or 6 for $4. Please pay at the dog park with cash or Venmo.

Hey there! A few things to keep our little spot happy for everyone: • Pick up after your pup — doggy bags are by the gate. Toss poop bags in the designated green bin only. We also have a blue bin for cans and plastic bottles, and a black bin for regular trash. No poop bags in the black bin! • No glass allowed — no glass containers or bottles. Paws and broken glass don’t mix! • Got a digger? There’s a designated digging area at the top of the hill! If your dog digs somewhere else, just grab the shovel and fill it back in. • Toys and furniture — return everything to its spot before you head out. • After using the rock painting station, give the brushes a quick rinse. • Be careful not to throw balls over the side fence — our neighbors have horses over there and they spook easily. We love all animals around here and want to keep everyone safe. • At the top of the hill, keep at least 5 feet from the neighbor’s fence. They value their privacy and respecting that helps us keep the park open for everyone. • Used the rinsing hose? Put it back and make sure it’s turned off. Lots of fun spaces to check out! Hills, flats, big trees, shade, and boulders! Open all daylight ☀️hours — come early morning or later afternoon/evening for cooler visits. Pups are welcome anywhere on the property except the small fenced off area at the back of the house. Wading pool usually available up near the house for dogs’ water play. Amenities include chairs, toys, water for dogs, free accessories, and other items to make your visit enjoyable 💖. Please wear shoes appropriate for natural uneven terrain that includes rocks, pine cones, animal burrows, etc. Also, please do your best to pick up and dispose of your pups’ “💩.” Bags and a trash can are always available. A few “heads up” about our spot: - the path to get to backyard is a bit steep. 👟Perhaps plan to wear appropriate footwear🙃 -like most places in San Diego there’s a possibility of snakes and we did have a recent sighting, so please use caution - the fencing on bottom right of yard is a different material, but still secure without any ways for pups to get out, but it can at times shift with weather and may be more possibilities for a pup to go under (I try and check often)🌿 - on the bottom left of the yard their are fire stick succulents🌱 on my neighbors property-the sap of these plants are toxic, so best to stay away! -lastly, if you are planning to come on a weekend morning- our neighbors typically play pickle ball at this time which can be a bit noisy and a distraction to some pups- they’re usually done by 11am.
