55A little hard to find from the road, look for a driveway with a little white house number. Big back yard, plenty of space to throw a ball, one small break in the fence wasn't an issue, ground is uneven so if you have wobbly knees or ankles be aware. No issues with neighbors or dogs or noise.
15If I could leave zero stars, I would. We had the most horrific experience ever at a Sniffspot. Shortly, upon entering the space, a white medium sized dog came running towards me and my dog and people reactive dog. Despite yelling at that dog to stay away and calling for help, the dog continued towards my dog and they had awful altercations a few times. Eventually, a toddler ran out, but couldn’t hold the other dog, and then another child ran out to grab the loose dog until we could leave. I am grateful my dog did not redirect at the children. My dog did get scratched up and bitten on his extremities. It was such a nightmare! Both my dog and I were shaken by the experience. This terrible visit has left an awful mark on both of us.
55Great spot! Lots of cool books and crannies for our pup and kids to explore.
35Would be helpful if there was sniffspot sign like other spots I’ve been to. Area could be cleaner as others have mentioned.
35My dog and I went to Stephanie's dog park on Saturday evening. They have two metal gates that I had to to pick up the gate that is heavy to open it. My dog was very scared of the noise it made. I forgot my poop bags in the car. I left my dog in the field when I got back the neighbor's dog was in the field with my girl. The other dog didn't like my dog, my dog wants to play with all other dogs.
55Loved it.
25I'm not sure if it's because we came so late on a Saturday and it was probably used all day...but it was pretty trashed. I found lots of garbage and a few poop piles that were not cleaned up. Poor communication with the host as well, I told them we would be arriving about 5 minutes early and asked if they needed us to drive around a minute or go ahead to swing by but they didn't say anything back at all. My dog didn't care, he's a dog, lol, so I ran him around for about 15 minutes and then decided to leave early. I'm only giving 2 stars because they did have tennis balls all over and my dog had fun and didn't really want to go, but I was honestly starting to feel sketched out by how much clutter was around and just the overall state of the property so I just really was uncomfortable the whole time. This listing also says there will not be any other dogs here and on our way out a dog was barking at us in their front yard and scared the crap out of us. There are alot better places on this app to bring your pets, I would not recommend this spot.
55Nice spacious area! Cash had so much fun. Sniffspot provided toys and water bowl for my pup. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for the space!
55Large field with tennis balls all around. We had a great time with our pups there
55When you first get there the hosts front yard is to the left of where you park to enter the back yard where you’re going. When we got there today there were two dogs barking and excited to see my dog, luckily she’s not reactive but I could see this being hard if your pup is. The gate is a bit heavy and tricky to move if you have your hands full with dog toys and your dogs leash, but the yard was huge, there were tennis balls, chairs, an umbrella, and we had tons of fun! My dog is exhausted from chasing balls and we will definitely be back!

Description

A fully fenced field that offers your pup a variety of terrain to run and play. A goat barn to explore (now goatless lol). Trees, grass, and garden beds. Large open field to run in. Please be aware that during the rainy season you will definitely encounter mud and possibly lake sized puddles in the field! Boots recommended. Treats, toys, towels, etc. located in the goat barn.

Cleanliness

71% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Sometimes it is difficult to see the terrain, especially in the areas with longer grass. Also, the driveway runs alongside the front yard where my pup and possibly some pup guests may be playing. If your dog is reactive to the sight of other dogs you may wish to pull all the way forward to the gate to avoid any visual interaction. I am also happy to bring my pup inside during your visit, please just let me know what your needs are.

I'm a single mom of four amazing littles. We just recently lost our beloved pup Eloise, so it is lovely to see other pups enjoying the space now. I love animals, and I am so glad to be able to provide a space for dogs to come play and have fun!

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.
