55Hey, it’s Winston the Beagle! 🐾 Another glorious visit to one of my favorite places! The mild, breezy weather was perfect for exploring the lush woods and farm, sniffing the wildflowers, and saying hello to all my farm-animal friends. I even spotted a deer in the distance and gave chase, but that guy was FAST! 🦌 Such a peaceful way to welcome fall. Amanda is always so welcoming and great at communicating with my hooman. We love it here and can’t wait to come back! 🐶🌳🍂
55Hey, it’s Winston the Beagle again! 🐾 I highly recommend the 80-Acre Farm for any dog who loves freedom, farm smells, and lots of room to explore. Everything is so lush and green right now, and the shady trails through the woods are nice and cool. There were plenty of amazing smells that called for a good stop, drop, and roll! This is one of my favorite times of year to visit because the farm is just starting to change from summer to fall. I can’t wait to come back and watch the leaves change—and keep searching for squirrels and that rabbit I just know is out there somewhere. 🍂🐰

45Such a lovely location! Amanda was very responsive and helpful when we initially couldn’t find the trail, especially for a last minute booking. I will say, I don’t recommend the trail for smaller dogs. “Luckily” my frenchie was already exhausted from all the excitement of seeing the farm animals and running around the drive way, so he waited back in the car with my boyfriend & I carried on to the trail with my Pittbull. The trail past the pond is really overgrown, so even my Pittbull was pretty submerged in the grass & through the large fielded area. Grass came up past my knees in some parts, so don’t wear shorts if you plan on venturing back there. Lots of other land to roam around the more pathed areas! Oh, & the 2 pigs she mentioned in the description really are so curious and friendly! They popped right out to say hello as soon as they heard us!
55Loved this Sniffspot! The pups had a great time running and sniffing in the back field and in the woods. The path through the woods was really lovely - cool and shady on a sunny warm day. My pup discovered the martial arts dummy set up in a glade - threw her for a moment but she got to practice building her confidence around something new and odd. The pups also got to meet the pigs - the first time for both dogs but all went well (the dogs both have good recall/leash control, which was essential to prevent any dog-farm animal misfortune). Big shout-out (!) to the very nice fellow working by the barn who gave us tips on where to go for good walking and later helped us out with a car door that didn’t want to close. Afterwards we had a nice drive over to Chesapeake Beach and through some very cute beach towns. Highly recommend.

55Woof! Winston the Beagle here, reporting from one of my all-time favorite SniffSpots! 🐾🌿 Summer at The 80 Acre Farm is one of my favorite adventures! The shady woods keep everything cool and comfortable, so I can spend my time doing the important work—following every amazing scent, rolling in the best natural smells, and searching for the trails of all the woodland critters. I didn’t find the deer or rabbits I was hoping to track this time, but I did discover a very handsome box turtle! I gave him a respectful sniff before continuing my patrol. The lush greens of summer are absolutely beautiful, and every visit is a feast for my nose (and my human says it’s pretty spectacular for the eyes, too). While I’m busy sniffing every inch of the forest, my human loves listening to the birds, feeling the breeze through the trees, and enjoying a peaceful walk far away from the city. It’s the perfect place to stretch our legs, soak in the season, and recharge. We usually finish our adventure with a trip to nearby North Chesapeake Beach for a walk on the boardwalk and some ice cream (well…my human gets the ice cream 😉). Every visit feels like the perfect summer getaway, and The 80 Acre Farm remains one of my all-time favorite SniffSpots!

* **** PLEASE READ FULL SPOT DESCRIPTION PRIOR! Notices for new visitors: Please be mindful as walking through to our back trails. A pathway will be made as hay grows taller. - this is a working farm with animals that need tending to. You will see us out depending on the time feeding/ watering animals. Especially in extreme weather. - we are a pig rescue farm, you will see them out and about. We have 2 overly social pigs who may come say hi to you. Then go about their way. Everyone else likes to hide. We have a beautiful 80 acre farm with loads of space for furry friends and their owners to enjoy! Trails, a pond, creek, seating areas for relaxing , swings if children come along. There is truly something for everyone! *please fill in any holes your dog may dig. If your dog is a digger please visit our over grown arena which is at the very top of our driveway and has a bridge . They can dig to their hearts content in that location! We have options of fenced in spaces for our friends that prefer to be closed in, a space for climbing and digging , and open spaces to run or trails to walk! Currently back trails are not officially marked but path is clear with tire tracks. Please be mindful of trees or branches from above and below. Possible risk of tripping and falling in the paths. We can’t wait for you all to visit! And please do not hesitate to contact with any questions or if any assistance is needed!

Back trails have trees that are down, or could come down. Please exercise caution and use best judgement when walking the trails. Trail around the pond / back field has bugs, including flies, horseflies, dragonflies, wasps and bees. If you have any allergies to those bugs please be prepared! Fields and fenced in areas are sunny / shaded during specific time of days. Driveway has divots in it (it’s a farm driveway!)

* ** UPCOMING HAY CUTTING OF BACK FIELD FROM MAY 24th- MAY 30th*** ***Please note that our pond is toward the front of our property. The pond that is in the back (not the stream but actual pond) is our neighbors property. *please be sure to clean up/ throw out trash, dog poop, if you are unsure of where the trash cans are located, please ask! *please be mindful this is a working farm, surrounded by other working farms, which comes with the occasional noises from the surrounding area. *please be mindful on your walking paths, especially if you chose to walk into our back woods. There are trees, and bugs. *always always message with any questions, we are here to help you enjoy your time here in our little slice of heaven. *if your dog is a digger please fill in their holes. This has been an increasing issue. Digging is allowed in our over grown arena at the very top of our driveway that is attached with a bridge.
