Welcome to Dori’s Hilltop Haven! We’re a dog-loving family living on a quiet rural property in the hills of Gaston. We fenced this area for our crew who needed the room to run and play and now we’re happy to share it with others. The whole yard is fully fenced with 6ft non-climb and sits on a gentle slope with plenty of room for dogs to run, sniff and explore. The fenced area is near our house so it’s possible you’ll see us coming and going, but the yard itself is fully yours during your visit. Since we’re near the end of a private road we find that we are a great fit for reactive dogs, dogs in training, or anyone looking for a quieter place to let their dog run. We do our best to make sure you have everything you need out there during your visit - chairs, water bowl and hose, toys, poop bags and cots for the dogs that need a break. If there’s anything you think we’re missing don’t hesitate to message me! We’re really happy to share our space with you and hope your dogs love it as much as ours do. Most importantly - we LOVE seeing the photos of your dogs enjoying the yard! Thank you to all who share! *Looking to make a day out of your trip to Gaston?* -Check out the dog-friendly wineries just up the road from us - Kramer Vineyards and Elk Cove Vineyards. -Grab a deep fried snack or a sandwich at the deli counter at the Gaston Market -Fuel up on coffee at Scoggins Creek Coffee - there’s even a local flower stand in their parking lot -You can never go wrong with a burger on the patio at One Horse Tavern

Hi! We’re a family with a pack of six rescue dogs on a quiet rural property. What started as space for our own dogs to run and play turned into something we wanted to share with others too. After years working in rescue with dogs of all different temperaments, we know not every dog does well in busy environments. Creating a calmer option has meant a lot to us, and we’re really happy to be able to offer that space to other dogs.

We are located in the middle of wine country. This is a previous horse pasture, so the ground is uneven. Humans should not run in the field. The field is on Hwy 240, so there is traffic noise. The neighbor's fence is 40 feet away from the park's perimeter so there is no contact possible with other dogs. Bring water. I do not provide water because shared water bowls can spread many diseases. Two chairs are under the apple tree .
