Welcome to Waffles Ranch! We're excited to share our little slice of Colorado with you and your pups. Our 0.5-acre fully fenced private pasture offers plenty of space to run, sniff, explore, and play—all with beautiful views of North Table Mountain and room to roam. We created Waffles Ranch because we know how valuable it can be to have a safe, private place where dogs can truly stretch their legs, train, and enjoy the outdoors. Whether your pup loves zoomies, chasing scents, practicing new skills, or simply relaxing in a quieter environment, we hope you'll feel at home here. Guests are welcome to enjoy our splash pad, dog pool, fresh water station, bowls, toys, waste bags, towels, and agility equipment, including jumps, weave poles, and a tunnel. Unwind under the pine trees in our shaded seating area, complete with two chairs and a coffee table (and don't worry if your pup hops on the table—ours certainly does!). For your comfort, the pasture and seating area are treated periodically with pet-safe products to help reduce mosquitoes and make outdoor play more enjoyable for both dogs and humans. Accessibility note: Waffles Ranch includes an upper grassy area with shade and seating, accessible by stairs. Dogs with mobility limitations or joint issues may prefer to remain in the lower pasture. (We are working on solutions to make this more accessible for all pups!) We're always making improvements and would love your feedback as Waffles Ranch continues to grow. HOST NOTE

There are horses across the street; be sure to have dogs on leash when entering the property. The nextdoor neighbor has 2 goats. (They’re pen is about 15-20 yds from our fence line and often out of site.) There is a vintage, non-operational “saw” towards the back of the property near the second shed. There is a chicken coop — there are no chickens at the moment. Do not open any chainlink fences (and allow dogs)! There are many more hazards beyond them on the rest of the property. There is a well head/spigot on the right side of the property, with 2 cones around it. Pups are safe to explore. Humans, please watch your step. Terrain note: While most of the pasture is flat, it also includes an elevated grassy area with shade and additional space to explore. Access is currently provided by stairs, but some dogs may choose to jump from the retaining wall, which is approximately 2 feet high. Guests with senior dogs or pups with mobility or joint concerns should supervise accordingly.

Hi! We're John and Abby, along with our two dogs, Waffles and Sophie. Waffles Ranch is named after Waffles, our 11-year-old, 12-pound rescue poodle mix. Waffles came from a hoarding situation with more than 80 dogs and, because of his past, he remains anxious around unfamiliar people, dogs, and many situations "out in the world." When we bought this property, we expected our energetic Aussie, Sophie, to be the one who thrived here—but it was little Waffles who surprised us. Watching him spend hours exploring the pasture, following scents, and chasing bunnies and mice made us realize how much he loved having room to roam and simply be himself. That experience showed us how valuable a private outdoor space can be, especially for dogs who need a quieter environment or a place where they can relax, explore, learn, and build confidence at their own pace. Our love of animals was a big part of what drew us to this property. After spending time volunteering with rescued horses at the Horse Protection League, we found ourselves dreaming of a place with open space—not just for us, but for the animals in our lives as well. We created Waffles Ranch to share that space with other dog owners, particularly those with shy, anxious, or reactive pups. Our hope is that every dog who visits has the chance to run, explore, and enjoy the freedom to simply be themselves

Lots of room to run and play. Neighbor does have a dog who is occasionally outside. Park on driveway or street. Come in on either side of the house through the gate. There is a sink and bowl of water if you’d like to pour your dog a freshie. We use a dog poop composting service so you can reduce your “pawprint”
