Freedom Fields (Secluded Dog Park )

Freedom Fields for Dogs is a peaceful, open farm space where pups can stretch their legs, sniff to their heart’s content, and enjoy the simple joy of running free. This private off-leash field gives dogs room to explore, play, and burn off energy in a clean, well-maintained setting away from crowded parks and distractions. Whether your dog loves zoomies, fetch, sniffing new smells, or just wandering at their own pace, Freedom Field is designed to feel safe, spacious, and relaxing for both dogs and their people. With secure fencing, open grassy areas, and water available, it’s the perfect little field trip for your furry friend. Come let your dog run, roam, and enjoy the freedom they deserve!

Janet's Durham City Bark Park

I have a fully fenced in yard. There is one gap, but we have covered it with cinder blocks. It is a 6 ft privacy fence, so you shouldn’t see the neighbors. One set of next door neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out. Please keep dogs on leash when outside of the yard. Thank you! Out in the yard there will be balls for your pup to play with, a water bowl, and a hose. We can also set up a tent we use for vendor events when it’s sunny or raining for shade/coverage. Just let us know in advance. There is also shade from a large tree in the yard. If you need a dog first aid kit, we will have one in the house along with things like water for humans, snacks for pups and humans, and a restroom for humans to use. If you need a towel for your pup, let us know, and we’ll be glad to give you a dog towel to use. We will bring things out to you. These are only available if we are home. Street parking is available at all times. You may park in the driveway, but please ask first in case one of us is going to have to leave (or coming back) while you are there.

Pinwheel Path

Our 2.5 acre park is a tranquil path through the woods with multiple path options and limitless nature to behold, accompanied by a soundtrack of birds and insects. The ample trails that cover the park are easy to traverse, and your dogs will be delighted exploring the endless smells in between those paths to sniff…and pee on. If you love to hike with your dog but wish they could be off leash to investigate the wonders of the woods so you can marvel at the variety of ferns and fungi, this is the place to let your dog run free without worrying about them getting lost. The trails and fencing are a continual work in progress, maintained and built over a decade and then some. We ask our own dogs to help decide where any new paths should go, and if there are any gaps in the perimeter fencing, we hope you and your dogs will do the same. Please be mindful of roots and rocks along the paths, the trail is more natural in some places than others. Get your birding app ready, put your running shoes on, bring your camera and binoculars--there is more to this park than joyous zoomies for your dog! Trail Length: park perimeter is approx. .25 miles, all (3) loops are approx. .58 miles

10 Minutes west of downtown Carborro. 2 acres fully fenced yard. Quiet and scenic spot with plenty of running space for your pup. Best suited for medium and larger dogs due to fencing (6”x6” wire mesh that some small dogs will be able to get through)

Paws4ever's Sniffspot Field in Mebane

Paws4ever is an animal welfare sanctuary located on 20 acres in Mebane. The sniffspot field is an agility field that is rarely used at our facility. You and your pup can enjoy using some of our agility equipment or just enjoy the lovely open field on our campus.

Craig's 12 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Durham

Beautiful open land close to downtown Durham. No fence but a couple of creeks act as natural borders. Feel free to roam around. Please stay away from the house and barns.
